I have changed my story because I listened to what everyone was saying like Doug Fisher said, but what they found in his wraps was TRACES of calcium and oxygen.

They also admitted in the report that it could have come from anything he touched, or where the wraps were stored.

They had to punish him because those are technically illegal substances, but the idea that a "brick" fell out of his wraps as first reported was simply not true.

A boxer I know, who I won't name, told me he's NEVER seen anyone work as hard as Margarito in his life. Including a particular story of him running up a mountain road when the van that was supposed to take him to the gym broke down.

Dude was a beast in training, and hit hard as ***. He may not have been the most skilled boxer, but wraps didn't give him a giant ***in pair of balls and a heart that pumps Mexican blood.

Great points and Margarito was never a power puncher. He took somewhat of a beating against Clottey, but he got the win because of his chin and throwing 1200 punches, now that's crazy and he still didn't stop Clottey. He beat Cotto with his chin, heart and endurance. Cotto wasn't even that hurt from the punches as he was tired from the pressure. Paul Williams got hit clean dozens of times and he wasn't even rattled. The Margarito comes in at 145 for the weigh in against Mosley, commission finds the wraps and he goes against one of the best spoilers in the game. Mosley clinches him every time Tony got it going and tore him up when Margarito was on the defensive. When Margarito went to fight at 154 he couldn't beat, what's his name that got knocked out a few times already. Margarito never even won with his heavy punches, he won with heart, endurance and chin. Look at the Maravilla fight back in the day, same thing, he didn't win it with power. Guys were just mentally folding from the pressure.

The majority of posters of this thread though didn't even hear the video.

Then take into account that Cotto 2 fights Prior took all of Mosley's bomb and there where plenty of them to take. And then Margarito who is a volume puncher not a power puncher starts landing punches around the 5th/6th round and withing a round or two Cotto is in bits.

Name another fight that resembled this fights end. Where the punches aren't hurting the fighter in terms of making his legs go, but just bludgeoning them.

He cheated and it obvious. Saying he used it for One fight is like saying Lance Armstrong only roided for one race....naive
Mosley boxed with Cotto. Margarito put endless pressure on him, throwing hundreds of punches per round. He busted Cotto's nose as early as the 2nd round.

Cotto ran out of gas and couldn't defend himself so he quit.

exactly what I meant by people who think they know everything. the man is stating facts in the video and they don't even want to listen. they just want to believe what they want.

              here's the thing....

              post suspension....

margarito's frame grew.... he was a big imposing welterweight....

after his suspension he was way to big to fight at ww....

but he wasn't as physically imposing at jr ww....

he used to make ww well.... against pacquiao he was shredded to the bones making 150....

              the suspension ruined him.

I really don't give a ***** what people think about this issue... I'm going to continue to think that he didn't fight his career with plastered hand wraps.

Who the **** is ****** enough to take off their gloves post-fight after their biggest victory to put their "now-hardened plaster" hand wraps on display? Even if Margarito was ****** enough to do that, would Capetillo have cut the gloves off? GTFOH

He didn't win after the scandal because Mosley knew how to fight Margarito (dominate from the outside, clinch on the inside, and walk him backward inside the clinch to tire Margarito and give himself space (not to mention Margarito looking visibly weight drained)), Pacquiao will demolish anyone that thinks they're going to blindly walk him down (no matter how big and Margarito hurt Pacquiao to the body in the 6th round; he's the reason Pacquiao didn't fight Cotto at 154 and won't ever try to fight in that decision), and Margarito landed 100 less, Cotto threw 100 less, and added strategic clinching whenever Margarito got on the inside so that he wouldn't gas like in the first fight.

Margarito was a fighter that used his size, strength, and stamina to pressure and punish fighters into submission.

The evidence isn't compelling enough to come to the conclusion that Margarito (or his trainer) intentionally tried to cheat Mosley. It's too circumstantial.

Furthermore, it's ridiculous to think that Margarito went through his entire career cheating and was never officially caught with the plaster he'd supposedly beat the **** out of everybody with.

I was in the anti-Margarito crowd once upon a time, too. But that was just an emotional reaction, the same kind of negative reaction any decent human being who loves this sport has when they hear of a potential scandal that could damage fighter's lives. Now that all of that **** has cleared, I don't see how anybody can look at the relatively insignificant amount of evidence and come to the conclusion that Margarito was trying to cheat Mosley, let alone everybody he fought in his career.

No plaster? Then why was he suspended and guys like Peterson aren't?

Ever heard of Occam's Razor? The simplest answer with the least assumptions is usually the truth?

Cotto has never broken down the way he did in that fight. Against Pacquiao a guy who hits harder a fights a tempo as quick or even quicker than Margs he was on his feet when it was stopped.

The simplest answer is the truth and that is that Marg cheated.
