This was faster than Haye-Fury, Froch-Kessler, Haye-Klitschko, Haye-Harrison and all the other big fights that's been on in Britain or involving British fighters over the last couple of years.

Guess that squashes the notion that there was no interest in this fight.
That's brilliant news, but didn't Haye-Klitschko have over 50,000 in attendance?

Its an OK match-up; but it's not PPV worthy.
I said from the start I thought it was a PPV fight - early results prove me right.

Massive fight this , and expect the UK hype train to get behind it too. Apparently Booth and GG parted ways - not good for Groves.

Yes there were, but they didn't sell 20k in 10 minutes :-)

There's not necessarily a correlation between ticket sales and PPV buys.

            True

Watched Degale vs Groves again and it just confirmed what i thought on the night, Degale beat him.

Thinking about betting on Groves...he's much better than the odds for this fight

I dont get how this sold quicker that Froch-Kessler 2

Site was in meltdown mode and ebay is full of tickets already, so makes you second guess where the tickets have gone!

No but I don't remember any fight not on PPV that sold 20k anywhere near as quick as this one. The closest to it would be Haye-Chisora - and that was on subscription.

It shows that the interest is huge, and when interest is huge, it warrants PPV.

Me too. Froch-Kessler II was a much bigger fight.

Groves is in for a world of hurt.
