All of the Matthysse faithful (those that haven't jumped off the bandwagon at least) are giving Danny props for a granite chin. But Judah had Garcia hurt. So there might be something to what Devon is saying. He's not saying Lucas doesn't hit hard. He's just saying he doesn't have that special, bone crushing power like a Foreman, or a Tyson, or a Hearns, or a Tyson had. And I agree with that.

Judah hurting garcia is overstated. He had him buzzed and stunned maybe, but he was punching back and never went down. Matthysse had him stunned also. Garcia was just smart enough to hold on when he got hit flush.

Danny took a shoot to the chin that almost ripped his jaw clean off. I doubt Alexander would have taken that same shoot and live to tell about it.

Yeah, I was supremely surprised and impressed by Danny's ability to take those shots and not be seemingly fazed.

I didn't really see Danny visably buzzed against Matthysse the way he was against Judah. But that doesn't always mean anything. Danny was always on high alert with Matthysse. Late in the Judah fight I though he kinda lost focus. Judah has extremely fast hands where Lucas' handspeed is average at best. I think Lucas has heavy hands and hits hard. But I don't think he has concusive, once-in-a-generation type power. Many people do. Which is why I consider his power overrated. Not overrated in that he doesn't hit hard. Just overrated from what the masses believe he has.

I ate some crow on Saturday, as I picked Matthysse to KO Garcia, and I am not ashamed to admit it. But to say I was a Matthysse fan is crazy. I also picked Mayweather by easy decision over Canelo and I bash Floyd every chance I get. Sorry if you Garcia fans got your feelings hurt as I had no idea how sensitive Puerto Chicans are.

in a fight its always a constant battle of

"does this guy have a great punch, or does his opponent have a weak chin?"
"does this guy have a strong chin, or does his opponent have a weak punch?"

based off of what we've seen, matthysse has power for sure, I think its not that matthysse's power is overrated, garcia has an underrated chin

like someone said earlier, judah never really hurt him, had him off balance and dazed for just a second... its happened to me in sparring before... and garcia fully recovered

I would disregard alexander's comment, and with that said, i think alexander beats khan cuz khan's last outing was absolutely horrible, was fighting a fighter who he was suppose to dominate, he tried to box and he almost lost

i thought was crazy how much people started getting on mattyssee it just shows that people need to calm down over some knockouts and a win or 2. I dont think his power is over rated tho
