I've been riding with Matthysse from the beginning, and I'll continue to root for him in the future. LOL at fools acting like Danny blew him out. The fight was competitive and could have gone either way.

I eat my crow for being so sure Lucas would knock Danny out. The one thing Garcia really impressed me with last night was with his chin, dude has a ****ing chin. I could not believe how well he took the shot that knocked his mouthpiece into the crowd.

I want to see a rematch, but I know Garcia is moving up to welter. Don't give a **** though, Lucas is still the man. Humble and cool as they come.

I was all over the place picking a winner here, changing my mind every 5 minutes! Garcia fought a great fight, his chin held up, his power was there and he looked a whole lot faster than usual, he deserved the win.

Just felt like it wasnt Lucus' night though, he couldnt catch a break and when the eye "went" the fight lost a lot of the tense drama that loomed but it was still a good scrap with Matthysse never complaining or contemplating quitting, even hurting Swift later on. Personally id like to see them do it again

Wonder if Garcia will be in the running for a May fight now though, he certainly smashed into my top 10 p4p after that performance

Again, a 114-112 fight. People are acting as if Lucas lost every rd. WTF?

If they eye didn't swell Lucas wins. Totally took the steam out of him. It's a shame. It's boxing though, **** happens.

How can you justify that Lucas wins if his eye didn't shut? Danny controlled most of the fight and Lucas only won 4 rounds. Everyone making the swollen eye excuse, SMH.

You're absolutely right about Golovkin being a better fighter but he is untested. From what I've seen so far his biggest flaw is his defense. He gets hit an awful lot. Who is say when his chin is tested by a big puncher he'll react favorably. I compare him to to Matthysse because most people sees the punching power in both of these boxers, but fail to see their flaws. Until Golovkin is tested by a big puncher with decent skills, I will still consider him hype. I can change my mind though. I did for Garcia.

While golovkin hasn't been at the top forever, he beat Matt macklin in his last fight. Macklin is no talent to write home about, but he was competitive with Martinez, and has been a contender at mw for a while.

Golovkin's chin looks very good so far. He hasn't been hit with a huge mw bomb, but other than he and qiillin there aren't many big punchers at mw. In an international level amateur career and several pro fights he has never been down.

They actually did a good job with the eye. Matthysse's eye actually opened up a bit more as the fight went on. Danny was just too good. Totally underrated by you guys going in. Just stop it, just stop it. Danny beat his ass, and you guys didn't think that it would happen. Well it happened.

I agree me and my friend kept saying how they were using their thumbs and that **** was actually working, I couldn't believe it. Danny was just to strong and smarter then Lucas.

That body punch at 1:17 in round 11 before Matthysse went down hurt him bad. That punch took a lot out of him and that's the main reason he couldn't stay up no longer when Garcia caught him with the other punches. Really happy for Danny Garcia. There was so much hate for the dude and praise for Matthysse that this is a perfect ending to the debate.
