I compare him to to Matthysse because most people sees the punching power in both of these boxers, but fail to see their flaws. Until Golovkin is tested by a big puncher with decent skills, I will still consider him hype. I can change my mind though. I did for Garcia.
    Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

Honestly do, yes. Matthysse outlanded Garcia in power shots, although Danny's were cleaner. Danny did score the KD as weird as it was, but then got a point deducted for the excessive low blows, which also left a sour taste in my mouth for the win. Two judges had it 114-112, Danny. It wasn't a blow out. I felt it was close and could have gone either way. I except the loss though. No beef here. I have no problem with Garcia winning, but wouldn't have had a problem the other way as well. I don't just bail on my favorite fighters because they take a loss. And this wasn't Ward/Froch, etc.

Good post. I especially agree with the bold. The kid's a solid fighter.

Garcia clearly and cleanly won the fight. "Close but clear unanimous" decision sums it up best. Great performance. Lucas played his part and the eye definitely took some steam out of him. Very good fight, not quite a classic but compelling for every round.

Big props to the Philly fighter! I had said Matthysse would KO García after the 8th & at a moment it looked like García was the one who would score a late KO! García showed very nice skills & that he could really absorb punishment cause Matthysse was killing that body & got García good on the jaw & García would retaliate... For some reason Matthysse was holding back on throwing his right, especially after his eye started closing up.. He did let go at the end, but it was too late.. It was a good fight & lived up to hype..

I was wrong. Danny Garcia is the real deal. Wins over Khan, Morales, Judah, Lucas. I have no problem with Mayweather-Garcia.

Do NOT underestimate GGG and if you like keeping your wallet don't bet against him. Further, he has been tested time and time again....maybe not in your mind but obviously in the mind of many professional trainers, pro fighters and promoters alike. There is a reason why many duck him. He's an "0" stealer and when he does get his shot which will be soon those that called "BS" and "Hype" will eat crow similar to the way the many Mattheysse groupies are cum guzzling today. Do your homework friend and study the art... The reality is :GGG is no joke.

Congratulations to Danny Garcia, he proved he is the absolute king of 140. Matthysse just bit off more than he could chew. It's like Mayweather says there's levels to this sport, and Dandy proved he belongs at the top.

Thanks for the advice "friend." But I'll stick to my opinion. You also make valid points about him being what was it, "no joke." Eventually one of us will be proven wrong.
