lara, trout, and angulo would be tough fights for floyd for different reasons,,

lara- has size, some skill, and is kinda tricky in the ring,,,

Trout- size, plus the jab, his jab would def bother floyd, I think it would be more competitive than trout-cotto,,,,,

Angulo- I think would represent the biggest problems for floyd,, angulo size, endurance, work-rate, and his chin would take floyd's hardest shots,, He is a bigger stronger version of margarito and would force floyd to fight every second of the fight,,
Angulo would have the size to hurt floyd will every solid shot, and mayweather doesnt have the punching power to keep angulo off him,,,

I dont know if all these guys would be considered "favorites" but they are def the hardest fights at 154 for floyd

I was a fan of his but all of the new ggg c*mswallowers make me want to not like him. He hasnt fought anyone and been knocking out the lower rung of his division. He's the Gary Russell jr of his division.
I am all for ward-golovkin. It would be good to see martinez-golovkin first though...

Lara, Andrade, Trout, and Angulo could all potentially beat Floyd at the weight. Lara might have the best chance out of the four because of his technique, hand-speed and ability to fight on the outside (foot-speed, reach, ring IQ, etc.). A healthy Sergio at 154 would be also stand a good chance of beating Floyd.

I've always felt a tall southpaw with good reach and quick feet and hand-speed would give Floyd the most trouble only he's never fought such an opponent. He's mostly fought come forward brawlers Gatti, Guerrero, Baldomir, etc.

If one of them had a good win prior it's possible. Most of the guys I mentioned are bigger and taller than Floyd. Demetrius Andrade is a 6'1 southpaw who fights on the outside, I'm sure people would put plenty of money on him after seeing the first face-off pics.

He put up a very good performance against Freddy Hernandez earlier this year (dropped him twice). He'll be fighting Martyrosyan November 16 for the WBO JMW title. He has a really good amateur record, won gold at the 2007 World Amateur Championships.

Also boxers have minimal, yes, but not 4%, they have around 6-10% (the higher the weight class and the older the fighter the higher there body fat will usually be).
He say's he can. Chad Dawson said he could too, as did Oscar.

                    Doing is different to saying.

Of course he would be to blame but I'm not sure why that matters. He'd still be dead the weight if it was his choice or not.l

The fact is, he hasn't been as low as 154 for atleast 7 years. That is a long time.

When was the last time he weighed as low as 154 lbs? Do you know? Because I don't. I know it's been at the very least 7 years.

It's safe to assume that after such a long peroid of time that making 154 is going to kill him and drain him.

If you look at pretty much every example of a fighter moving down to a weight class they haven't been at in 7+ years, it always effected them badly. There's no coinidence about that and Golovkin is no different.

Canelo is 23 and weighed under the Jr MW limit in his last fight.

He's been at 150 in the last 2 years and 147 in the last 3 years.

When was Golovkin last at 154 lbs?
