No one who could make 154 would be the favorite over Floyd. The closest would be if Ward met him at 160 but I don't think it would even be possible for Floyd to bulk up to 160 without some "help".

Manny (pre-4th fight with Marquez) would have come the closest and probably would have been a 2-1 underdog.

People seem to be focusing more on whether Golovkin can make the actual weight limit vs if he can perform successfully there. Like, why would he not fight at 154 if he could easily make the weight? He'd obviously have the natural size and strength advantage if he could do so comfortably. But he doesn't do that so one can only assume he knows he'd be draining himself to get down there.
I am not arguing that MW is not his natural weight class. I am just saying that IMO he would be able to make 154lb. And moreover Sanchez said many time it wouldn't be a big problem, he just needs enough time to it properly.

GGG would be favorite at least as far as I'm concerned ... nobody else.

I wouldn't even predict a winner, I'd just love to see it.
this would actually be great for hardcore fans but would tank at the box office. floyd won't do this fight its probably on the lower end of his potential pay days unfortunately. and he doesn't fight for the fans as we know.

probably no one. If GGG can actualyl drop down then he would have the closest odds.

GGG would be the betting favorite at 154. Lara would be a close underdog.

Martinez would be the favorite at 154. Maybe Golovkin.

Others who give him a great fight: Lara.

I agree that Lara would probably make the LEAST business sense. There are many other options for Mayweather with bigger names who pose less of a threat.

EXACTLY, its funny his nuthuggers avoid Wards name like the plague and want him to drop weight as opposed to just taking on WARD at his best weight.
I was a fan of his but all of the new ggg c*mswallowers make me want to not like him. He hasnt fought anyone and been knocking out the lower rung of his division. He's the Gary Russell jr of his division.
