Golovkin at 160 is ripped, he's in tremendous shape. He comes to the ring at 170 lbs, in great shape.

Losing an additional 6 lbs can be exceptionally hard especially when you haven't been that low in close ot a decade or more.

Ask Oscar De La Hoya when he dropped "just 7 lbs" after a decade. It's "only 7 lbs" right?

Ask Chad Dawson the same question when he returned to 168.

Give me one example of a fighter who hasn't weighed as low as the weight class being talked about in 7+ years and then when returning to it, didn't look terrible.
You're right, they do have a lot of body fat, but at the same time boxers don't walk into the ring at 3-5% body fat, they aren't ripped like you think. Go to a professional bodybuilding competition and watch what an athlete with 4% body fat looks like, it's nothing like a boxer, so they still have weight to lose. I mean really, you guys are just overreacting, it's one weight class, not three, jesus.

Chad Dawson lost more than 6 pounds?

It's a shame Dirk has already swallowed Murrays balls, evidently, as he didn't even have them to fight Golovkin.

Not one example named even though millions of fighters do it regularly.

Chad Dawson lost more than 6 pounds?

Losing 6 pounds can be hard yes, but you and others are acting like it's impossible or unlikely, it isn't. If you're a fighter who walks around at his fight night weight it's not as hard as you think.

Boxer's have minimal body fight when they walk to the ring and Golovkin especially does.

Dawson lost 7lbs, Golovkin will have to lose 6.

It is unlikely. It absoluely is unlikely for a fighter to drop down to weight class he hasn't been at in 7+ years especially at 30+ years old.

Look at any fighter who has tried to do this and look how they performed.

Golovkin hasn't been at Jr MW since when? Do you know? I know he hasn't for atleast his entire professional career and I know he came to the ring at 170 for his last fight.

Golovkin moving down to 154 at this stage is very unlikely that he will do it healthily.

Why would I need to make an example? The example is in the multiple division champions you moron

Sorry, you got an article that states once the body has been a certain weight for 7 years it can't change? What's that? No? You haven't? Well then shut the fk up spouting it.

No one said it was impossible, it's just a big factor to consider when analysing this fight.

Trying to downplay it by saying everyone does it and then not being able to name examples makes you look like an irrational nuthugger.

But then again, you think Martin Murray (who I don't even support lol) not being allowed into America is an "excuse"

You don't live in the real world.

I can understand if you don't want Golovkin to move down because it may be unhealthy for him, that's fine. However if he can make the weight and he says he can, then what's the problem with taking his word for it? He'd only have himself to blame surely?

Also boxers have minimal, yes, but not 4%, they have around 6-10% (the higher the weight class and the older the fighter the higher there body fat will usually be).
