I just found it amusing them using the injury to Burns' jaw as an excuse. The damn injury was caused by a punch.

Anyway, terrible decision. Even if you want to be kind and give some close rounds to Burns, he still lost.

You sound ****** saying such things, I've seen much worse at MSG, the so called Mecca of boxing and Vegas, don't even get me started. Britain as a whole has very good judging, always a good mix of international judges for major fights.

Several British fighters have lost their titles at home on points. You have to understand, when a fight is this close, the champ often gets the nod, I think many of the people calling it a robbery aren't boxing fans but people who don't like Burns or Brit boxers in general. It's the typical childish behaviour I've come to expect on this site.

After two mediocre performances, Burns is bound to lose his title soon.

I think Burns would lose to Abril/Vasquez/Broner/Crawford/Figueroa. Hell, he'd possibly lose to Gamboa who doesn't even belong at LW.

Name 5 robberies which took place in the UK?

Anyhow, I can call a robbery when I see one. Chilemba was robbed, he clearly beat Bellew. Beltran didn't clearly beat Burns imo, the fight was close.

You can't say one round is better than the other unless you're going to score the round a 10-8.
Yea I get what you mean. It was a close fight as I said.

Last person to get a decision here was Bradley versus Witter how many years ago? And even that was somehow a split decision, IIRC.

I would advise any foreign fighter not to come here. But these British hypejobs are so mediocre, it must be so tempting. Froch is the truth but Ward gets stiffed unless he wins 11-1 (and even then, I'm sure the British commentators would give him rounds for "workrate and fitness".

Hopefully these countries like Argentina and Cuba getting producing solid pros, so bit by bit, British Boxing is diminished from the Boxing world. We don't produce good fighters anymore, just mediocre champions who get woefully outclassed whenever they step up.

During the thread there was a bit of a roll on this thread with people handing Beltran round after round. Imo it didn't represent what was happening in the ring, some people had Beltran up 4-2 after 6 rounds. I couldn't see that, I had it 4-2 Burns.

Beltran may not have clearly beat him but he did beat him.
