Boxing ain't dead but its corrupt and flooded with problems. I think comments from mainstream sports media should be taken as a sign to fix these problems rather than dismissed completely.

My biggest issues are the number of "champions" in each weight class, the horrific judging, the network and promotional cold wars and the corrupt ratings systems.

      Floyd Mayweather
      Manny Pacquiao
      Miguel Cotto

That is the last three big draws in boxing in the USA with Canelo right on the cusp. Boxing needs to build new stars to take over those guys thats been carrying the sport since 2006.

Maybe ESPN should tell these 2 nitwits that they are a huge supporter of boxing and have Fat Dan eat all theri donuts.

The ONE weigh-in is live on ESPN.They should do their homework on this one. It is a great time to be a boxing fan.

Boxing will never die, and as much as Dana White would love it, MMA will never replace boxing. Im an MMA fan also but the top guys like Silva and GSP only make about 300-350k a fight not including sponsorship. B level guys like Ghost and Ortiz are getting 1.5 or up to 3 mil when they fought Floyd, a UFC ppv only makes at best 4 mil. Floyd makes more in 1 fight than the biggest MMA promotion does in 2 years.

To those az clowns its dead because they only buy the big PPV and there are only 2-3 a year so if u look at it that way they yeah but boxing is no where near dead. Sad to hear that the less than casual fan thinks so.

The only thing espn knew about boxing is Pacman and Floyd and since Pacman got blasted they only know to hate Floyd. Screw them and their knowledge less a$$es.

As long as Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans and Brits exist boxing isn't going anywhere.
