Absolutely no one on TV on ESPN has any clue about boxing. None of them. It wouldn't bother me when the PTI guys say it if they weren't such smug, know it all pricks about it, shouting it as if boxing being dead is absolute truth.Last edited by bojangles1987; 09-07-2013, 05:25 AM.Comment

In my opinion boxing is going to be bigger in the next few years, not smaller.
As stated in the interview, it's becoming a global sport, there are more good fighters from eastern europe, such as GGG, Provodnikov, Kovalev etc.
Apart from that, I personally think that the current situation in many countries, including some area of the US,paradoxally almost, will help boxing.
Boxing has rarely been a sport for well off and/ or spoiled kids, it takes guts, a strong will, an ability to deal with fear and pain since a young age.Comment

Apparently boxing's been dead for 9 years now.
That's how long it's been since the first time I heard that phrase.
Boxing just doesn't know when to die does it?Comment

Lol me too.
If a sport that generates over $2 billion dollars annually is dead then sign me up for that certificate.
Mayweather will make more for this fight than all fighters in the UFC for 2013 combined in salary....dead sport my ass.
Maybe they should also check the tv ratings which have been way up for the past 2 years and the growing amount of tv stations that are having regular boxing programming.
