Don't read anything into posts, I was very clear about the size differences and if a 154 champ can't shave 2 crummy pounds for millions of dollars he's a jerk!

No excuses here, could care less who wins if I watch I want it to be good!!

Man every, single time it is the SAME story. This is the guy, this is the one, this is the style.....that IS going to beat Floyd finally. This guy is too fast, this guy is too tough, this guy is too big, this guy brings too much pressure....ETC ETC ETC. I do feel that Canelo will be a very tough match and I over the last few years felt this was going to be good. Just understand that in reality the fighter who will beat Floyd is Floyd. Whether it is underestimation, under preparation, unable to adjust/recover, old age, you name it. None of this has happened in 44 fights so I feel Floyd deserves the benefit of the doubt. Canelo while a good fighter has the similar chance all other opponents had, a punch/punches that hurt/drop/stop Floyd. What fighter does not have that chance? Floyd is not indestructible? All I know is the few times I have seen Floyd hurt (Corley, Shane), he roared back and even more convincingly completely wiped the ring with his opponent. So everyone don't assume if Canelo hurts, rocks or drops Floyd (which will probably happen) its all over and Floyd's done. As Naazim put it, Floyd may come back spitting fireballs.

Canelo on the other hand doesnt pressure for ****!

Thats not his game plan and he is not good at it unless its against not good fighter like Lopez, Gomez, etc. and even then he doesnt look that great at it.

Canelo is actually more of a counter puncher more than anything that will just stand in front of you. He use to actually dance when he was at welterweight but now he is way more stationary wanting to counter punch. He usually tries to throw his right over the jab alot.

De La Hoya and Cotto had similar gameplans in pressuring Floyd but thats not Canelo's gameplan.

so you know Canelos game plan? You know this, HOW?

I'm not a Mayeather fan, but what gets me about the haters is how delusional they are. Hate blinds. People want him to lose so bad that they start fitting a fighter with what they want to see happen. Floyd is the smaller, older man in this fight. That counts for something. He's gonna get old one night. I just happen to believe he has enough in the tank to handle this kid Alvarez. This is gonna be a good fight, but it's going to be Canelo who loses his "zero."

And Cotto has more stamina then Canelo and was coming off of 3 wins when Floyd fought Cotto.Neither Oscar or Floyd weighed as much as Canelo at junior middleweight. And Canelo started his career at welterweight, and Oscar was a big junior lightweight, lightweight and junior middleweight. Floyd made Zab fold in that fight after he adapted to Zab style.Margarito came in at 165 for the Pacquiao fight.
I favor Floyd to win, but I highly doubt that Oscar in his fight with Floyd is as fast as Canelo is now or will be on sept 14.

We all know Floyd asked for the catchweight, Ellerbe is just performing damage control because he doesn't want Floyd to look bad......why would a 154 pound champ want to fight at 152? Both guys are 154 champs, 152 should not even be in the picture to begin with. The negotiations started with a requested cw of 147, they worked up from there.

Cotto and Oscar coming off of a few good wins heading into the Floyd fight is good and all but Canelo is coming off of 42 consecutive wins with a KO rate of 70% and has never known defeat. He just beat the guy that beat Cotto for Pete's sake.

Agreed with all the guys that said mayweather will win in a not so exciting match.

Any thing can happen .. yeah mayweather its human and its beatable yeah but he is just superior in every aspect even if he is older.

And for those who dont know he has the reach advantage here too ... and believe me for floyd thats good news.

                Floyd by wide UD.

oh and i am mexican and i do like canelo style, its just that Canelo has everything to win and nothing to lose in this fight, if he wins he becomes a mexican ATG if he losses there is no shame at all. Oh and there is no way to cash in higher than this. Plus floyd doesnt hurt you that much as lets say a pacquiao fight wich puts your life on danger hahaha so yeah everything to win nothing to lose for canelo... just his "0"

No way no how is Canelo all of a sudden going to turn into Margarito, Cotto, Hatton, Jesus Chavez, etc because thats not who he is.

Thats like if you say Margarito all of sudden turns into Juan Manuel Marquez if he was to fight again.

                  Doenst happen.

Floyd is going to beat Canelo's ass. Size doesn't matter, and it won't matter.

I'm a purist so the catchweight is lame but if Floyd shuts out Canelo I dont give a **** what anybody says, no 2 lb.s would make any difference imo.'

Marquez and Nacho are on the record on saying that Mayweather NO MATTER WHAT WILL TEAR HIS ASS UP.

WHY? Because Mayweather completely embarrased Marquez.
