size matters.... Floyd's gonna find out....

just like delahoya did against felix sturm and bernard hopkins.....

just like shane mosley found out against winky wright.....

when a guys 'naturally' bigger.... they can physically bully you and skills aren't enough....

    i don't think he'll get knocked out....

but delahoya physically out muscled floyd at 154 as did cotto....

and that was an old delahoya and a shot cotto.... not saying either of them won....

but canelo's a genuine 154 lber which cotto and delahoya were not....

floyd's gonna take a lot of punishment and i think canelo will win a close decision.

I think Floyd knows the size is an issue thats why he had the catchweight he knows unlike Oscar and Cotto who were basically former lower weight fighters who were at the tail end of their career at 154, Canelo is a serious threat.

Even Pacquiao said jr middle was too big for him and it was at a catchweight with Margo weighing just shy of 170 while Pac was like 145, that Margarito fight left him in the bed for days and he could barely get up

Floyd will need to be in is top form and his feet and stamina have to be supreme here he needs to stick and move and throw careful pot shots and bore the hell out of us like he did with Baldomir if he tries to go for a combo and leaves himself open too long while trying to land the final punch of his combo Canelo could throw his sneaky fast punch on Floyds chin and put him down.

Floyds banking on Canelo's stamina issue similar to how he knew Zab Judaah would lose focus after the 4th round and basically lower his punch out put. Floyd better hope Canelo gasses out or else he is screwed because Canelo can crack.

Maybe the size will be too much, but the fights you mentioned had the smaller guys facing styles they struggled with, not just size. I don't think Alvarez's style will bother Mayweather, which is why I think he'll win comfortably, maybe easily.

This is the only reason people wanted to see this fight. They didn't believe in Canelo's skill, they saw how Big he was and said hey "Floyd couldn't possibly beat a kid that big". I unquestionably believe that Floyd will win, but this is boxing and anything can happen. If Floyd loses, it will probably be because he was too small.

The catchweight will help him a bit.

sorry but whne does Canelo use his size? He has slow footspeed and doesn't cut the ring off at all. his size won't make a bit of difference and will only hurt him.

Very true. Who's to say one of those Shots that Floyd will eventually get touched with opens a cut and he's gotta go the rest of the fight with one eye. If he's over trained, he could cramp and force himself to be a stationary target. Anything can happen, but I think it's highly unlikely.
