That sucks, he usually has a smile on his face

He'll be back but he needs to stay away from Jhonny/Donaire/Rigo/Santa Cruz

I saw he was more upset than depressed. It's hard to watch yourself get KO'd then have to answer questions from commentators.

Yeah he did. I think its too soon for the rematch. I see it lasting a little longer but the same result.

People are sleeping on mares on the rematch. This fight is still 50/50 gonzalez ha a one of the worst chins and just take one punch for it to be over. Should be a great fight while it last and some ones is getting koed

He should be bummed. It doesn't mean he can't comeback strong.

                  excellent video.

The interview with Chavez is suggestive.

                  1. Mares asks Chavez if its okay to take the rematch given the criticism, but also in light of the fact that he wasn't beaten up; Chavez says fine, but it shows that Mares is doubting it.

His heart tells him to do it; but his mind is telling him to take an easy fight before the rematch.

                  2. CHAVEZ TELL HIM: I TOLD YOU TO KEEP YOUR RIGHT HAND UP!! MARES SMILES AND TELLS HIIM THAT HE GOT DISTRACTED.

                    True...

Gonzalez set that punch up real nice. But I do think Mares got a little too laxed in there and opened up a little too much vs someone like Gonzalez.

I was devastated by the loss and hope he comes back. We need more fighters like Mares. And like I said, when you have the schedule that Mares has had you're bound to lose.
