  • Floyd is probably ahead atm...but B Hop is above BOTH of them imo

    • It's clearly Manny.

Floyd missed his opportunity long ago to ever be ranked above Pac on any Self-Respecting ATG List.

Difference of eight fights. Eight question marks for Floyd.

        • Floyd easily,Manny hasn't looked good since the Cotto fight 4 years ago

            Manny:
            Barrera
            Morales
            Marquez
            Cotto
            Margarito
            Mosley
            Oscar
            Hatton
            Bradley
            Clottey
            Ledwabo
            Solis

            Floyd:
            Cotto
            Oscar
            Mosley
            Hatton
            Judah
            Castillo
            Corrales
            Marquez
Gatti (included cos he was a "name" but shot to hell in reality)

I haven't even excluded some of the weaker names that Pac fought which are still better than some of the weaker names that Floyd ever fought.

Barrera primed, Morales close to prime and Marquez prime are better than any of Floyd's victories, in fact, I can't think of a single fighter Floyd fought who's rank higher than Barrera or Morales all time.

And you don't think either guy has an amazing win?
if you include the likes of Bradley, Ledwabo and Clottley for Pac then you have to include the likes of Ortiz, Baldomir, Hernandez & Guerrero for Mayweather. Which actually puts Floyd ahead on that count.

Furthermore, you have to take into account that Pac has been knocked out 3 times and lost against Morales and drew/got KTFO vs Marquez who Floyd schooled with ease. If Marquez was prime when Pac beat him the first time, then he surely was also prime when Mayweather beat him.

But if you really want to go into that discussion, I can also bring up the fact that Cotto could hardly make 147, let alone 145. That Hatton had been brutally outclassed and KO vs Floyd before he fought Pac and ODLH hadn't fought at 147 for ten years and was coming off losses and inactivity when Pac beat him.

But I see you have a clear agenda against Floyd, which is highlighted by some of your other posts, which makes me not want to get into this. I have stated before that I like both guys, but I give the edge slightly to Floyd at this stage.

            • its not even close. you have got 1 guy who dared to be great. won titles in 8 divisions. then you have got another guy who is just motivated by money and due to fear of losing, took the easier fights. so yeah, its not close really.

              • Between the two , it is clear that Pacquiao is the greater and has the better resume . nothing in Mayweather's resume can be compared to the win of Barerra
Impossible for Floyd to have 9 fights with Barrera/Morales/Marquez and get the record 6-2-1 , it is NINE , something huge

but I think Klitschko brothers are the greatest post-2000 boxer(s) , I don't like them , but they were more dominant than any other boxer .

                • Does it matter to anyone that Manny lost to morales when he was "El Terrible" and beat him when he was just terrible?

Erik's career before zahir raheem- 48-2 only lost to MAB
erik's career from zahir raheem on- 4-7

Is it name recognition or status when they fought?

You know its name recognition when it cimes to manny, not the fighters status at the time he fights them

                    • If you subtract the nuthuggers/haters and alts/people nobody has ever heard of...it is 15-11 Floyd. What does that tell you? Neutral opinion is moving towards Floyd being the greater fighter of the two. In 09/10 those same people would have probably voted something like 3-23 in favor of Pacquiao.

Also, I subtracted myself as well FYI.
