You have a point. Froch's willingness to fight anybody/anywhere has put pressure on promoters to follow in the same suit.

he hasn't changed anything, but he's a breath of fresh air
fights anyone, anytime, and always brings it
he's built a big fan following and not let it turn him soft
Froch isn't skilled but still beats top guys on guts and aggression
Ward clearly beat him but even at that didn't embarrass him
boxing needs more guys like Froch

change the face of boxing? i'm not too sure about that.

froch lost to kessler in the first fight, i thought he lost to andre dirrell, and it cannot be argued that he landed the more effective punches in the dirrell fight. ward completely schooled him.
I reject the notion that being undefeated somehow makes you the face of boxing, or even puts you in higher standing.

Froch's resume is much better and incredibly deeper than Wards.

Look at the Kessler froch fight 2, ward and co hated Froch because they knew it would mean Ward may have to come to the Lions dens and beat the Froch in England.

They give him his big moment on Skysports when they thought he was going to get Mullered by Bute.

And its backfired. He made the likes of Floyd Mayweather and other cherry pickers get exposed, as froch is now getting the world wide exposure, and look at the fights you got this year.

Froch is the reason that Fury hayes happening, cleverly Kovalev happened, canelo Floyd happened, povetikin Wlad happening...

Theres no where to hide because of froch willingness to fight anyone anywhere, the Fans took note and now they expect everyone to be like Carl.

Like him or not he has literally changed boxing forever...
                How exactly?

Agreed, Ward isn't even close. His best wins outside of Froch are Kessler and Bika...two guys already beaten by Calzaghe and with less controversy and yet these guys here rank Ward above Joe and discount his wins against the likes of Bika LOL

But W won't go into superlatives like the TS, he is obviously a mega fan. Don't get me wrong, I have mad respect for Froch, great guy, terrific fighter and a real warrior. He isn't the face of anything though and he isn't the reason big fights are being put on, in all honesty, no matter how much bad press Warren gets, he has continuously put on some of the best shows in the country for 15-20 years. There have always been some competitive fights and some big names against other big names.

What Froch has done is show fans that no matter how big a star you are, there is no excuse to not face the best. Since leaving the S6 he OBLITERATED a man who was regarded as either 1 or 2 at the weight, a guy he was supposed to lose to, had an admittedly easy defence but can you deny him that? And then beat the second best SMW of his generation and in all honesty, looked very good doing, only troubled a maximum of maybe 2 or 3 times the whole fight.

Now he's fighting Groves, one of the 10 best SMWs on the planet. Since then, other guys who have left the S6 have either retired, fought second tier opposition or weight drained their opponents. We need more Carl Frochs.

froch does not have as good of a resume as ward. surely you can't be serious with this. not only better, but "much better?"
                    what sport do you watch?
is losing is just as good as winning?

i have no idea how you can say that when ward has a much more dominant win over froch's best win (kessler,) and a win over froch himself. froch has more fights against top competition, but he's come up short twice. a loss is a win you couldn't get when you had the opportunity. the dirrell fight was also a clear dirrell win if oyu only look at who landed the more effective punches, but i have no beef with somebody flagging dirrell for not behaving like a professional and giving rfroch some rounds for being aggressive.

if froch's resume is so good what happens to ward's when you take into account that he completely dominated froch in his prime?
