Groves is a top 10 SMW, top 5 going by ring rankings.

Froch actually didn't want to take the fight but it was either that or vacate the title.

I think that fight could end up in Las Vegas, maybe after Groves if Chavez v Ward doesn't happen.

yea I think if we talk amongst ourselves hopefully he will have the common decency to leave this thread with his rep not in tact, but at least he can minimise the damage hes done to his steet cred.

I wish him well on his future posts.

After Froch became P4P #1, he changed everything! Not only boxing, he changed humanity worldwide.

Froch certainly deserves respect for having fought a tough succession of fights but you are going a bit overboard here. Mares and Donaire have fairly comparable runs of opponents I think. Also Froch was in a position where he needed to gamble to make serious money and headway in the sport (because of age and lack of support) therefore the comparisons to fighters like Mayweather are way off base. Froch took a long time to get much recognition and fans. In many ways he is still in Calzaghe's shadow, hence why he brings him up a lot, revealing a big Calzaghe shaped chip on his shoulder.
