I disaggree Marquez did well through out the fight against Mayweather.

Heres a video of rounds 10 and 11 in there entirety, i tried enbeding video but couldn't. The layoff had nothing to do with it.

Even the Guerero fight is one Alvarez should be watching, he gets little credit for what he was able to do.

Mayweater is on the decline and he is a big welterweight. He is fighting Alvarez but at catchweight ruins any real chance Alvarez has to dethrone Mayweather. Avarez will have to start fighting untill the 5 rounds to conserve any energy to go 12 hard rounds and even than when has he ever gone 12 hard rounds? And thats the problem with Alvarez he never been pushed to see how he'd react. Minus the ko's i see a young Vargas in Alvarez although Vargas was much more accomplished when he fought Trinidad.

That would work if Alvarez fought that way, but he doesn't. Maybe he'll prove me wrong come fight night and pull off a similar gameplan to Cotto and succeed.

I totally disagree with you. This is what Im talking about with Floyd being held to a higher standard. You think a 2 year layoff means nothing? Let that happen to any other boxer right now and watch what they look like. 2nd, I didnt see JMM do much of anything. Again, its the Floyd standard. If any other fighter did what JMM did in those 2 rounds, people wouldnt even aknowlledge it. He did basically nothing.

3rd is that the lil he did do was clearly because by that time Floyd had no respect for him. Floyd didnt care what he was doing by that point so he's giving away more than he normally would. 4th is that Ghost is a Southpaw so thats totally different from a righty and even then it wasnt all that. Floyd doesnt get enough credit for all the subtle things he does

you are so wrong again. Floyd has been one of teh p4p smallest guys in boxing his whole career. How is he a big WW when on fight night he is nearly always smaller than all 140 pounders and alot of LW's? I remember him being 146 against Zab at WW when at the same time Pac was 145 for a 130 pound fight. Both Lucas & Garcia will probably be bigger than Floyd on this night that he's fighting a huge Canelo

Dont give me the cw bs when he has 20 plus pounds on Floyd in the ring. There is no excuse for losing to someone that much smaller than you. Give Floyd that advantage and he destroys his opponent. Canelo is very good but Floyd is better. The size advantage is the only way he wins but its a legit advantage that could allow him to win

In a few weeks’ time, Bernstein will find himself sitting ringside inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas when WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez faces off with Floyd Mayweather, the man widely regarded as the sport’s premier fighter.

The opinions on Mayweather-Alvarez have been hot and heavy, with the general consensus being that Floyd’s experience and vast array of skills will be a little too much for his 23-year old foe.

When assessing the matchup, Bernstein actually foresees a difficult task on both sides of the fence.

After this fight is over, Canelo is going to hate that he didn't try harder to secure a fight against Cotto in order to better prepare himself for Mayweather. This will be another day at the office for Money May.
