I don't see it. Mayweather won't be standing in the pocket that much against Canelo, I can guarantee that.

The blueprint, IF there even is one, has to be found in the DLH fight. The only problem with that is that DLH and Cotto both had/have one of the best and hardest hitting jabs in boxing (in their weight-class) - both of them are actually southpaws.
Canelo isn't that precise with his jab and he isn't that consistent with it. He fights in spurts with wide punches. He's very explosive but he fights in spurts. DLH and Cotto kept and timed their jab in Mayweather's face to throw him off and it worked until Mayweather adjusted and they somewhat got tired.

Canelo has to pump that jab like he's never done before and I don't think he'll learn that over night.

As for Cotto beating Mayweather? Wishful thinking from a Cotto fan. Not gonna happen, didn't happen and that's it. Zip it and bag it up. Time to move on.

Mayweather put on a boxing clinic against Cotto in the center of the ring and Cotto didn't have that much success when Floyd was on the ropes. Floyd fight with Canelo he won't be on the ropes he will keep the fight in the center of the ring

I don't agree it was a blue print for beating Mayweather. I think Mayweather was in total control in that fight but Cotto did have some success against him. It wasn't fight changing success but it was just surprising to see. People said Oscar was successful against Mayweather but all I remember was Oscar pinning him on the ropes with one hand, and hitting him to the body. But not everyone saw those sneaker counters he was taking in return. Once Oscar got tired and couldn't do it any more, Mayweather took over the fight around the 7th round and didn't lose a round after. A better fight to look at is the Hatton fight. He had the right strategy of mauling Mayweather, but he just wasn't offensive enough. Not to mention he got frustrated and walked right into a check hook. If you can pressure Mayweather relentlessly, throwing 60 - 80 punches a round, not get frustrated from missing shots, taking sneaky elbows, and well timed counters... Also have a plan B, C, and D if that doesn't work, you might have a shot of beating him.

I think Floyd will have problems only with someone who matches his speed combined with a stiff jab.

And someone smart enough to use broken rhythm to throw off Floyd timing his counters.

Tommy Hearns would've been a tough opponent for Floyd.

              Canelo, no.

Mayweather and Pacroid= huge paydays. If you're not making maximum $$$$$ in boxing you need to GTFO.

Unless of course if you're Floyd and Pacroid and don't fight each other because you're both chicken.
