If Fury beats Haye, that's the only fight that would enhance Wlad's resume.
and Wlad's next fight is the super-fight regardless what americans think about it.

Yeah we know Wlad has held pieces of the championship for about 7 years now but he's never won a legitimate super fight and yes that does include the overhyped bout with Haye so based on his résumé can Wlad retire without fighting Wilder and still be considered great? I think he desparately needs a wilder on his résumé the same way Lewis needed a Holy and Tyson on his to confirm his greatness. If Wlad slithers out of boxing without facing his most dangerous challenger I think it brings up some serious questions about his credentials as a supposed top hw.

Wilder has the hardest punch by a landslide in the hw division. No one has been able to handle his power and Wlads history of being very weak chinned doesn't translate into success against Deontay. A massive puncher with ATG power will always be dangerous against a glass jaw.

Agreed the hype was awesome for that fight.It was a HUGE HW fight,first since 2003.

Haye just didn't do anything.

Wilder is a flat-out beast.The 3 Americans are really generating a buzz in the US for HW boxing as is the Haye vs Fury fight on HBO.

Is Wilder really that known yet in the US? Would a fight with Wlad generate mainstream attention?

The Haye win is a much bigger win than Wilder right now. Haye was a fast, powerful, two weight world champion. Wilder is still a work in progress...

That said, if Wilder proves himself against Top 10 opponents then it would be another great win to add to Wlad's resume... but no, Wlad doesn't 'need' that win to cement his status.

Maybe in 3 years if Wilder never loses and Wlad is still champ it will be a nice cherry on top but as it is right now Wlad would wipe him in 2 rounds.

I would prefer to see him bludgeon Chisora, Pulev and Fury next year and then maybe come back to the USA one last time to knock off Wilder after that.
