Yeah we know Wlad has held pieces of the championship for about 7 years now but he's never won a legitimate super fight and yes that does include the overhyped bout with Haye so based on his résumé can Wlad retire without fighting Wilder and still be considered great? I think he desparately needs a wilder on his résumé the same way Lewis needed a Holy and Tyson on his to confirm his greatness. If Wlad slithers out of boxing without facing his most dangerous challenger I think it brings up some serious questions about his credentials as a supposed top hw.
Does Wlad need Wilder?

Pump your brakes...Wilder hasn't accomplished anything yet and you are comapring him to a Tyson--or even Holyfield? Wlad had been a pro for about 15 years and still has question marks about his chin. When was the last time he fought a legit heavy punching fighter. He fears the power of Wilder especially if he saw how quickly Deontay has been walking through solid chinned guys like Liahkovich.Comment
