They're also forced to put the Garcia/Matthysse fight on the Mayweather/Canelo undercard instead of making a separate fight. That way they don't have to look for advertising funds. The money will come from the May/Canelo PPV.

As already mentioned, they have good fighters but they're expensive. And with the kind of money Money Mayweather is demanding, Showtime is probably barely getting even.

Showtime has significantly closed the gap of subscribers between itself and HBO, and are making a push to become the leading premium network channel. While Time Warner and HBO chose to back Manny using propaganda such as its now out of print distribution Mag Time magazine, and allowing Shills like Hauser to pitch for them on the Internet building Mannys name off of trying to ruins Floyd reputation, have made the bed they are currently laying in.

        http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/30/bu...anted=all&_r=0

Meanwhile, Showtime was building its brand of original critically acclaimed programming, and unlike HBO are catering to an AMERICAN audience. HBO left the door open for ShowtimeSports to walk right in an snatch up one of Americas greatest boxing champions in the last 30 years, because HBO was to busy rejecting him, which strengthens its sports programming.

Now like spoiled *****es, TImeWarner are acting out trying to derail CBS/Showtime until they can figure out how to prevent the possibility of eventually becoming #2, so the Rob their American subscribers I
        Of channel their entitled too.

'Cause Floyd is guided by Al Haymon. Pacquiao is guided by Buboy and Michael Koncz.

Floyd needs to fight a well known Mexican fighter on Mexico national day to earn a few extra millions. His last fight proved just like that and Showtime lost $5m. If next time the Showtime lost their money again in Floyd fight. They will drop him like a hot potato. Just pray you floydiots he will not lose to Canelo because your fighter putting a lot of people to sleep in his fights.

Jealous Pacquiao followers still don't realize, Floyd did his best to encourage Pacquiao to be his own man, but now the world knows he was nothing more than Arums *****, and who's desperately trying to reestablish his credibility while steadliy getting old.

Shane Mosley was shot when he fought Floyd, and was even more shot when Manny fought him.

Bradley and JMM is Pacquiaos only legit fight in years, and he lost both of those.

If I'm not mistaken is he not a bigger PPV draw than Floydie?

Is he not the supreme guy for HBO ppv's since May is gone?

sorry folks my damn phone is annoying to type with

my point being in more detail, its bad for business

an example is pacman, in his last 7 fights, 5 did 1m plus, if hbo gave pac an iron claw contract, then in 2 of those 7 fights, hbo most likely would have lost money, by doing it with a fight by fight basis, promoters can protect themselves from the risk of a considerable loss

a good example is floyds last fight, it was widely known they offered him a 6 fight deal with a very safe contract to get him to fight on their network, everyone knows the guerrero fight (because of the ghost) flopped in a business sense, costing the provider money, this is the type of risk hbo are not willing to take

in terms of who is right and who is wrong, I think not offering these type of deals are best, the only way you can offer these deals is if the provider is certain the fighter can pull in certain ppv numbers with anyone but with the credit crunch and the cost of living rising, its not going to happen
