it's quite obvious that trout isn't some terrific fighter, but he was a prime, true jr MW, and a southpaw, and coming off of the best win of his career.

other than mayweather there wasn't a tougher fight at 154 for alvarez to take.

i too get a huge kick out of the revisionist history of the bsceners. trout was the biggest thing since sliced bread because he wasn't alvarez. once alvarez signed to fight him, something the bsceners never expected, the hype started to fade. once trout lost to alvarez, he became a bum.
Same thing happened with Pacquiao on his rise.

Pacquiao beat all the fighters he was supposed to lose to and suddenly they became bums.

He lost to Williams in a close fight. It wasn't a robbery. That and he was getting killed by El Pero before he gassed.

I'll never get over that, that was suppose to be a showcase fight for Lara......

We all need to admit 154 is a hot mess.

Lol yeah, 154 is all over the place man. Not exactly a bad thing, though. It makes for great fights because of the parity.

who's that girl in your gif? lol

but onto what you said, yeah Trout did better than the judges had him doing in the canelo fight but i disagree, trout didn't pull his punches. why do you say that? do you think he wanted to throw the fight? if anything, in the final few rounds, it was canelo pulling punches (obviously tired).

but i give canelo all the credit on the planet for beating a guy who people were hyping as the next king pin in the division. canelo deserves the may fight...at 154

                  Wait a minute, what??

Lara vs Williams was completely one-sided after the first half and it was a CLEAR ROBBERY.

and LMAO at Pero getting gassed. Yeah I guess his face went goonies and swole up 3x from too much cardio.

Trout is a good/very good fighter, and more than that, not many would look good against him. He's tall, has a good reach, is a southpaw and doesn't take many risks.

With that said, the fight stunk.

I'm not saying it was a robbery, for it was a close fight, but the 'biased' open scoring impacted how the fight was fought. Both fighters knew what the situation was.

And the official scoring?.118-109 (Stanley Christodoulou), 116-111 (Oren Shellenberger) and 115-112 (Rey Danseco) and if I'm not mistaken Trout lost the first 4 rounds on 2 scorecards.

Round 1, 4, 5, and 9 were all close (Canelo did nothing in the first), and Trout clearly won the 3rd in my opinion.

The Showtime crew had it a close fight:
114-114 (Bernstein), 114-113 Alvarez (Farhood) and 115-114 Alvarez (Malignaggi).

The reporters from boxing scene had different opinions regarding the bout:

Cliff Rold (Boxing Scene): 116-111 Trout
Jake Donovan (Boxing Scene): 115-112 Alvarez

As said, it's no robbery, but lets not act as if Alvarez did convincingly beat Trout.

I don't know how you judge a fight but you not doing a good job, Lara make angulo quit, there was no gassing only right hooks and straight lefts to the face, he could not endure the paint and Lara loss two rounds, three at the most and I bet you don't know the real history about that fight, the ring was the smallest they could find which doesn't do any good for a boxer like Lara, they didn't let him rehydrated more than 10 pounds but they let Angulo gain 20 lbs and it was an official in Laras corner to stop the seconds from pouring water on his head, do your home work because they don't want to see ginger in the same zip code as Lara...
