Ortiz has more pure boxing ability than Trout. Now he might be weak minded and a quitter and all those other things with it. But if I was looking at both in the gym and didn't know anything about either I would think Ortiz was the better fighter. Same goes for Mosley and Marquez. You take away Trout's height and he's not much of a fighter.

I don't know how you judge a fight but you not doing a good job, Lara make angulo quit, there was no gassing only right hooks and straight lefts to the face, he could not endure the paint and Lara loss two rounds, three at the most and I bet you don't know the real history about that fight, the ring was the smallest they could find which doesn't do any good for a boxer like Lara, they didn't let him rehydrated more than 10 pounds but they let Angulo gain 20 lbs and it was an official in Laras corner to stop the seconds from pouring water on his head, do your home work because they don't want to see ginger in the same zip code as Lara...

Hydrating after weigh in means nothing in boxing. The ring size was agreed apon and Lara signed the contract. He almost got stopped because of it.
It's not hard to see. He won after all so be happy with that. All I'm saying is that Trout is beter in my opinion and would win a head to head matchup.

Trout has heart/grit with a better than average skill combined with a nuisance of a southpaw style.. it must be annoying to fight him.
