Some of these posters on her are funny. Asking if Canelo could carry a PPV on his own? Of course he can! He would probably do more numbers than Floyd and Oscar when they first started out?

Second who the hell can really carry a PPV on their own? No one!

I think so, it's like you guys said it depends on the opponent.

Mayweather and Pacquiao can. If Canelo was on PPV against Joshua Clottey or Robert Guerrero, he wouldn't draw anywhere near what those two did.

If he does good which I highly doubt against Mayweather maybe he can. But if he does bad/lose, I think he would need another name brand fighter for his next PPV and/or charge $20 per buy for it to be a somewhat success.

Is the question "can Canelo do decent #s on his own" or "can canelo do Floyd/Pac #s on his own"?

Depends on opponent. If it isnt a GREAT matchup the PPV would bomb. He has to have the right guy to fight especially just starting out he cant just fight a Robert Guerrero or Clottey and get 1Million people ordering the fight and dropping $59.99.

He doesnt even speak english FFS. Not trying to knock the kid but that will hurt him.

This PPV with Floyd will be the biggest thing for Sauls career win or lose. And if he gives a good account for himself or even hurts Floyd or drops him. Watch out. His career will explode whether he wins or not.

Don't phrase the thread if Canelo can pull a big draw on PPV and then ask in the poll if you'd buy a PPV headlining him. I buy every PPV, he won't be a PPV draw tho. If he gets Floyd he will be though.

Depends opponent and undercard. Put broner as a co feature and it could do 300/400k.

Is he a big enough star to warrant a PPV show? Would you buy it? Say vs a good but not great opponent?
Vs a good fighter with decent card...sure.
