After this fight people will shift towards "well he hasnt proved he can beat a supreme boxer that can move".

Maidana is what he is and I dont see Broner having a hard time making him look slow and bad. We'll see.
He hasn't fought a guy that can punch and comes forward so it's new territory.

If he beats him impressively and without struggling then he'll have gained legitimacy. He will have earned respect.

Maidana will ask questions of Broner and Broner has his chance to answer them.

It's clearly the obvious fight for Broner to take at this moment in time.
If Broner is able to KO Maidana it will impress. Broner has yet to show his ability to move and he hasn't had much reason to do so with the small fighters he's faced. Broner will show this wrinkle in his game with Maidana. Yes Broner is horribly flat flooted at times but its because he has not been worried about the return fire in exchanges to this point. Maidana isn't the most technically sound or mobile of fighters. Thats what makes him a cut below a Matthysse. The Maidana fight plays out one of 2 ways. If Broner feels like he can war with Maidana it will be all action til someone goes down. Or if Broner doesn't want to feel Maidana's power he can choose to use his footwork & expose a kink in Maidana's game. I'm not saying Broner is a master technician but he can probably look that way against Maidana.

(HA, just re read your post, you are joking and its kind of funny)

If Broner beats Maidana, especially if he beats him without stinking out the joint like Devin did then i will be impressed. I think Maidana will land at some point and if Broner doesn't like it, can't take it then he gets stopped. If Broner takes Maidana's best shots and is still there he wins a UD more than likely.

Really good fight though on paper, action packed i feel.

Unlike a lot of posters here I think Maidana is a good step up and might even KO Broner.

If Broner KO's Maidana I'll give him much respect.

the maidana fight will tell us what he's got. if there are any problems with his heart, maidana will discover them.

the Demarco and Paulie fights were credible
not big wins for him, but wins that were legit over decent fighters
Broner only gets the hype he gets by leeching off Floyd
he hasn't earned it, but he is legit in the ring skill wise
the guy just isn't as good with the style he's stolen as he thinks
Floyd Sr probably just sick of the guy rimming his son

I would too but I really dont see that happening.
The guy lost two fights, could hardly handle Malignaggi and is easy to hit while not being much of a power puncher himself.
It would take one of those once in a very long time boxing miracles for him to win against el Chino.
For all his Floyd impersonations, he's nothing like him.
Any news on this fight being made or not? With Maidana the war is pretty much guranteed. I liked his last fight a lot. Pretty exciting stuff.
