    This right here.

Hopkins was starting to really put it on him past couple rounds, it was going to get worse. I think the body shot hurt Oscar and he probably could have got up but quit.

I have to agree with most of these.

Nah Hopkins was just in the perfect position to throw his lucky punch, just like GGG vs Macklin

I don't think a decorated fighter like oscar would simply take a dive for $$$. beating hopkins would've made him in ATG imo, he wouldn't have just passed on that. b-hop's power was a bit underrated back in the day.

No. It was a legit ko. Oscar DLH had never been stopped. You think he would just lay down? Oscar has a big ego as every fighter does. Nobody wants to say they got stopped.

Also, about the canvas pounding. That canvas pounding was long after he got hit with the shot. He was down at that point more out of embarrassment and disappointment rather than still feeling the effects. He got up just seconds later in clear frustration.

Even today when I talk about that fight with people lots of fans still have doubts over that fight.

I mean a precise body shot to the liver and you'll go down no matter how tough you are....but was Oscar in pain or did he take a dive?

Say did you hear about those Wright brothers? They say they built a contraption that can fly! I tell you this, I won't believe in any of that mumbo jumbo til I see it with my own eyes.

I seriously doubt it. Why would Oscar take a dive to have Bernard sign with Golden Boy? Hopkins was a P4P guy but he has never been a big draw. His PPV outside of DLH were never big numbers. Even with guys like Trinidad and Tarver the PPV buys were underwhelming. No way Oscar would be willing to take a dive just for that.
Also consider the source. Arum will say anything to discredit Oscar and GBP, especially so soon after he split with TR. Wasn't that fight Oscar's last with TR???
