By the way, the last guy I remember Hopkins was said to be 'ducking' (outside of Ward) was Dawson, and we all know how that turned out...

The old man has had an ATG career, but he needs to call it a day before someone retires him (from life).
He was power is extremely overrated. Extremely.

He's not even a hard puncher. Yusuf Mack's chin is made out of glass, I couldn't even fathom that it took him so long to get him out of there.

I actually bet real money on that fight. Because it was so obvious (I thought) that someone who has half decent power will tap Mack and he will fall over.

By around Round 6, I couldn't believe that not only is Mack still in there but it's anyone's fight!!!!

Finally he landed a half decent punch and Mack inevitably collapsed to the floor.

Anyone who can't get Mack out of there in 6 rounds or less is not a hard puncher.

kovalev isn't some wide joe calzaghe slapping clown who was easily exploited and countered. his workrate is purposeful and accurate. his power is deadly. hopkins cannot win. really the only fighter that can beat kovalev right now is danny mcintosh.

People are already overrating the hell out of Kovalev, I'm not surprised though as we've seen it happen with Bute.

Campillo was a good fighter but he's ALWAYS had a glass chin, and has shown he starts off very slow. Kovalev on the other hand has huge power and starts off fast, tailor made fight for Kovalev.

Cleverly is a C-B level fighter, his whole gameplan was to just stand there infront of Kovalev and let him punch him. 0 head movement, 0 offense other than a weak jab, 0 body movement. That screams amateur lmao.

            Both tailor made for Kovalev.

It's not even about rooting for Hopkins, it's just looking at it from a stylistic standpoint and realizing that Hopkins schools the one dimensional Kovalev.

lol I know your whole shtick here is to irrationally hate on Calzaghe (which I admit is very amusing), but Joe Cal would have absolutely outboxed Kovalev.

Cloud get's dominated by Campillo's of the world.

He struggles badly with Yusuf Mack's of this world.

If Kovalev fought Yusuf Mack, he would knock him out in about 30 seconds. That's not even exagerrating. Yusuf Mack would be extremely lucky to last half a round with Kovalev.

Cloud is terrible. Literally, he's terrible.

Kovalelv is a whole other level to Cloud.
Cloud is not terrible. One dimensional yes, terrible no. He's got a very good chance at becoming the lineal champ against Stevenson.

We don't know how Kov will react to B-Hop's stick-and-spoil strategy, but I just can't imagine him getting neutralized like Cloud and Pascal.

Imagine Kovalev/Pascal? That would be amazing. I go Kovalev but Pascal ain't gonna lie down.

Hopkins could surely spoil Kovalev. Kov as much as I like him has nothing Hopkins hasn't seen before. Only way Kovalev wins is if Hopkins is old (lol) overnight
