There is a reason why hop wasn't too keen on Kov, am not critising hop because for me he has nothing to prove. But this might be a difficult one for hop but I would love to see it because Hop would still make it difficult for Kov with his crude style.

He will trouble Kovalev but he will be the first fight he's fought in a while that can cutt off the ring effective and has concussive power.

But I agree that Hopkins will always do well against that kind of style but Kovalev will push him and is definitely able to beat him IMO.

If I was Kovalev I would stay away from Hopkins though.

Not with this guy... I think Kovalev stops Hopkins. What people forget is Kovalev has over 200 amateur bouts. He has boxing ability. He's not just a brawler.

Hopkins wont be able to deal with someone that has great hand speed and punching power like Kovalev.

But it doesn't always work out that way. A crafty fighter can only neutralise so much. Real, heavy handed concusive power is very difficult to deal with.

Good point, Cloud should have lost to Campillo by a near shutout and is one of the worst titleholders I've seen in the higher weights in recent years. The guy doesn't know how to cut off the ring and just walks in straight lines, he's power is also overrated (although I'm looking forward to Cloud v. Stevenson--fireworks!). By the way, the last guy I remember Hopkins was said to be 'ducking' (outside of Ward) was Dawson, and we all know how that turned out...

No, really, he wouldn't.

Cloud can barely beat Glen Johnson.

Cloud get's dominated by Campillo's of the world.

He struggles badly with Yusuf Mack's of this world.

If Kovalev fought Yusuf Mack, he would knock him out in about 30 seconds. That's not even exagerrating. Yusuf Mack would be extremely lucky to last half a round with Kovalev.

Cloud is terrible. Literally, he's terrible.

Kovalelv is a whole other level to Cloud.
