Rigo could have been considered more exciting if he knocked out Nonito but poor Nonito had to run.

Isnt Pac/rios and JMM/Bradley is desperate need of some undercard fights

None of those guys are any more likely to place him on HBO if the network is unwilling to foot the bill. At least Arum can put him on a PPV undercard where the network has little say, like he said he would

Rigo needst o suck it up, he'll get a fight, even if it is against someone less known and for a lesser payday or if he is really willing to fight the best and wants to be a star he should leave Arum and instantly sign to fight Mares. That would get people noticing but Rigo himself has said he has no plans or doesn't want to move up in weight.

Looks like we have the new Gamboa on our hands, another wasted Cuban.
He's the lineal champ of the division he shouldn't have to be chasing fights or being on under cards. He smashed a top 5 P4P fighter his last fight.

Sad time for the sport when a materful boxer like Rigo dominates a Top 5 P4Pounder and still gets shytted on by casuals and his own promoter.

Well if this is not a symptom of how in decline, and sad boxing is nowadays i don't know what is. The culture is just gone to **** in the era that being a mediawh0re has more value than actual substance and skill.

His guarantee is very high, something like 500k. That's a whole lot for a SBW, who never used to get featured on HBO till Donaire, who was very well established when he crossed over. Mares has probably never seen 500k! Now add to that the total lack of decent comp at 122. Is HBO really paying 600k+ for Rigo vs Chris Avalos?

Triple G doesn't do drug testing so it wouldn't matter anyways.
