He gave Rigo his biggest payday and he stunk the place out. Everyone started booing even tho I thought it was a close competitive fight.
Rigo is a champ. Boxing fans will have his back no matter what. Arum doesn't need to talk **** about him. Let the casual fans do that crap.

In the same interivew, Rigo said he turned down an HBO undercard slot in Canad because he wanted a 16 week training, not a 7 week training camp.

"Yes, I have now begun to see what fight I can get, and now they tell me that there's one within seven weeks, but that shows a lack of respect for a champion. That's very little time and I will not accept. People always talk about at least 120 days for preparation like it should be. So let's see what happens.''

Rigo has eight KOs in twelve fights. The only fighter he's failed to at least knock down is Donaire. Three reasons for that: Nonito was a P4P fighter; he didn't engage enough to get put on his ass in their fight; and Donaire literally ran for dear life in the final round of their encounter.

So you're saying Rigo should accept a fight with less prep time than he deems necessary? He was right. A champion doesn't accept those terms. The guy's not some journeyman jumping on late notice for a quick paycheck.

Who the hell has 4 month training camps? Standard camps are 8 weeks. 1 week less won't make a difference when the opponent is supposed to be freaken Chris Avalos.

There's more then two promotional companies out there my good man. Do you not understand that Rigo made a massively hyped p4p fighter look like a fighter that was a few classes below him?

It doesn't matter to me where he goes. I just wanna see a master of his craft at work in the boxing ring. Why, if you're Arum, leave him on the shelf and collect dust? It makes no sense that a man that's promoted for damn near half a century can't do so with Rigo.

He's right, there has been a complete disrespect from Arum and Top Rank. Id be pissed too. The guy is unbelievably skilled and dangerous too, he can be dull but i actually really enjoyed the Donaire fight tbh
