How so? There are at least 7 or more posts in this thread alone dedicated solely to the fact that Canelo is beating up on junior welterweights in sparring. I have seen no proof of that at all. Has he fought smaller guys before? Sure. Did he not just fight and defeat the WBO junior middleweight champion Trout in his last fight also though?

People want to downplay his skill level which is fine but unless people starting putting facts behind their statements, it just seems like baseless hating to me....or trolling, either way. I have noticed a lot of very new accounts, must mean people are getting things setup for a worst case scenario.

You're missing the point: it doesn't matter who Canelo spars with. No sparring partner can truly prepare him for Floyd. If Canelo is going to win this fight, he's going to have to make his size an advantage. The fact that he weighs 166+ pounds 30 days before the fight should put to rest any notion that he's going to come in "lighter" and look to outbox Floyd.

Finally, I don't think Canelo lacks skill. I think he has above-average skill at a minimum and I look forward to seeing how good he really is as he fights better opposition and eventually moves up in weight. But let's be clear: saying that Mayweather is the most skilled fighter in the game, and that Canelo will have to beat him with size and strength, doesn't mean that you're saying Canelo doesn't have skill.

Why Canelo would choose to use the 6’1”, 165 lb. Mosley Jr. to get ready for the 5’8”, 150 lb. Mayweather is anyone’s guess.


Shane Mosley, certainly not a small dude, he is fighting at 154.

Draining?? Shut your dumb ass up! How much did Canelo weigh for the Trout weigh in?? 153 right... so he has to come down a whole 1 pound and rehydrate to whatever he wants to on fight night.

Floyd fought his last fight at 147 and never made the 154 limit or am I making this up? Canelo weighed more than 170 pounds his last fight or did you forget?? Canelo's team offered the catch weight, they signed for it so they must don't have a problem with it so why are you bringing it up?

Once Floyd beats his ass don't jump off a bridge it's not worth it! Just accept the fact that Floyd is the # 1 fighter today period bar none. I know it hurts your heart that someone you despise gets that honor but deal with it.

I am a BIG Canelo fan but i am also a realist. Good for him if he's smashing sparring partners but there is no shot that he is going to beat Floyd. Floyd is way too fast and Canelo does not have the experience or stamina to go the distance and outbox Money. Looking forward to watching but i already know the outcome. Mayweather in 12 by decision.

Nice video... But he may want to get new sparring partners. Floyd doesn't fight nothing like the dude he is sparring! I know it's hard to get a person who fights like him, but I am sure he can find a little better than that.
