    Mayweather forced the catchweight?

    Canelo offered 150lbs.

    Ignorance is bliss.

You can't force anyone to do anything.

Why are you always seemingly the authority on how big these guys are? You seem to be a very good judge of a man's size....ahem. First it was "Martinez can't make 154" and now its "Canelo should be at 160"
Canelo couldnt make the 150 pound catch weight against Matt Hatton and that was when he was smaller. Hes a big ass kid doesnt take Burt Sugar to see that.

And come on Martinez isnt making 154 especially after ANOTHER long layoff.

wouldn't the fairest thing to do would be for both fighters to weigh in at 154, 1 hour before the fight? No weight advantage either way. Something tells me you won't like this as Floyd won't be at a 20 lb weight disadvantage.

I dont know man.... Canelo is lean and ripped at 166.... I cant see how he will be healthy at 152.

A set of eyes is all you need.

          166lbs

          Thats crazy.

He has always made 154 but of course you and Burt Sugar - a dead man - are the highest authorities on these things!

If Alvarez comes in above the 152lb limits, its for sure they wont cancel the fight because of money reasons. But he would probably be fined $300,000-$500,000 PER LBS above 152lbs. Have a re-hydration limit of 160lbs. And be strip of his belts.

Basically Canelo can come in at 154 and fight and win but when May wants that money canelo can take it to court and it will be dismissed.

If this is true, then it's still a considerable amount of money. If Canelo is getting let's say a $12 million dollar purse, losing 25% is a lot! That's $3 million bucks at 25%. And that's before Canelo even sees a penny after subtracting all his other expenses.

Yeah, but the luxury of not having to squeeze out those last 2 lbs. can pay dividends in the fight.

                  a) Be drained, get dominated.

                  b) Come in healthy, give a good account of yourself, lose, but your stock doesn't fall off, so fights with other big names still attract the fans attention, mo $$$.

                  c) Come in healthy, win the fight, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I wouldn't be surprised if Canleo lost his whole purse if he's 2-3 lbs. over. Over 3 lbs, the fight will probably be cancelled.
