I've heard on a couple podcasts that it's $1 million per pound over.

NO manager worth his law license would agree to such an outrageous penalty. Probably like 200k per pound sounds more reasonable. So give 4 pounds at 800 thousand and come in at 156 - fit and comfortable. That would be the best play for Canelo and you know that the fight is all systems go regardless of Canelo's pre-fight conditions because 156, 157 or 158 ~ the money is already on the books.

It would be funny to see Canelo come in exactly the same degree over weight that Floyd himself was, for JMM.

What can Floyd say then to complain too much, without seemingly being reminded he did precisely the same himself.

Wasn't that also, with less of a penalty coincidentally against one of his foes whom was coming up to fight him and deemed to small?

fight is cancelled and danny garcia vs matthysse become main event....

canelo couldn't make the 150lb catchweight against matthew hatton..and that was a few years ago..so it should be interesting to see if he can make the 152lb catchweight...
