Why would a boxer unnecessarily cut weight?

Who's left at 147 in the Top Rank stable? Have any of you guys thought about that?

I think. Manny is a tweener

Floyd is famous for having smaller guys move up and fighting only bigger guys
Who are past it. And the ones who arent , he drains them 2 pounds yet he has a belt at the weight and so does that young guy.

Its called looking for and creating advantages.
Beside that castillo robbery where castillo really won but wasnt the hbo A side
Floyds fake undefeated record is tampered and filled with c and b minus level only, no a level fighters

I'm trying to figure out how Floyd's opponents are any better.

Both fought Cotto, Mosley, DLH, Hatton and Marquez

Bradley is better than Ortiz, Guerrero. Alvarez is a great fight as well and on par with a Bradley fight. Overall, I consider neither Floyd or Manny's WW and above resume any better than the other.

Come to think about it, most great fighters force guys up.

Haglar has done this, so has Floyd, and countless others. What does it matter at the end of the day, as long as the opponent is legit.

if there is a really good reason for pac to go back down to 140 then i'm sure he probably would...but pac already won a lineal title at 140..so...yah..and the top guys at 140 are with golden boy..

                He also outweighed DLH

Manny didn't fight Hatton at ww. floyd didn't fight cotto and odh at ww. both made JMM come up. Mosley was the #1 ranked ww when floyd fought him.

Bradley is a better p4p fighter than ghost. At ww, tim beat abregu at ww before the manny fight. Ghost beat Aydin and Berto. which is better?

Floyd-zab, baldo, hatton, jmm, shane, ortiz, ghost
Manny-cotto, odh, clottey, shane, jmm, tim, jmm

                    make the call?

Rios isn't at his best weight. You have used "best weight" arguement in the past as a criticism for certain fights. Is that the same here?
