Why are you all getting your panties in a bunch? The Barrera - Chavez fight was in the works a long time ago and more or less confirmed late last year. This is just the official-official announcement and has nothing to do with the outcome of the Paq - Morales fight.

Barrera - Paq can and probably will still happen later in the year.

I've been saying for about a year and a half that Barrera is avoiding Pacquiao. Right after the Marquez fight, Pacquiao wanted an immediate rematch with Marquez and Barrera. Barrera is moving up for a fight with Chavez because he doesn't want Pacquiao. Marquez in the meanwhile, has fought Marco Polo, Orlando Salido, and has a fight in Indonesia with Chris John for 25,000. Impressive. C'mon, Pacquiao is calling out a fighter he has already beaten, has nothingmore to prove against Barrera. This fight is all Barrera. Barrera knows he isn't gonna beat Pacquiao. Marquez needs to step up to the plate and show Morales and Barrera up. If Marquez wants the adulation that previously was only reserved for Barrera, JC Chavez, and Morales, he needs to fight Pacquiao immediately. Or else Pacquiao is gonna have to beat up on Hernandez after Hernandez gets revenge on his brother. I love the Pacquiao's, but Hernandez finished stronger.

Barrera vs Chavez is OK. Chavez came from his retirement and shown that he's still in it.

why do people always say stuff without knowing the facts.

Barrera offered Pacman a fight but Pacman said its to early. And its true, hes not scared or aviding anyone he just got out a big fight against Morales.

anyways Chavez-Barrera is a huge fight. Barrera is moving up in weight and if he wins the Pacman or a Marquez fight would be even bigger.

we're talking about barrera and not the deal... he had the guts to dish out summons for pac but then he does not want it anyway so he should STFU!

Barrera should never have opened his mouth about fighting the winner of Morales-Pacman. That's from the horse's mouth, Sturm-is-a-loser fan moron.

So if Barrera fights at 135, then later goes down to 130 to fight Pac and loses, ya think he'll he say he was too drained to make the 130 weight and fought in a weakened state?
