i think he would probably be drained no matter the outcome

Barrera isn't avoiding Pacquaio. Damn, that is slander if you ask me.

He was planning to fight Jesus Chavez before the Morales-Pac 2 fight when everyone thought Morales was going to win. Yeah Pac is a mandatory for Barrera, but he has plenty of time to defend that mandatory which Pac just got a couple days ago. Had Morales won, they wouldn't be making a story saying Barrera avoids Morales.

That is a ridiculous slanderous story. Shame on the author for that bull****. MAB should sue.

Common man, stop making an excuse for Barrera. There was a news article 1 week or 2 weeks before the Morales/Pacman fight that says "Barrera/Chavez fight is OFF" because it's not logical and feasible at this point. Why the sudden turn around? And besides team Pac has been trying to put up that rematch since 2 years ago and MAB simply keeps looking away to the other direction if that is not AVOIDING or DUCKING in your dictionary then what is it then?

I'll look for that article and paste it here so I won't be giving people the wrong info. I don't want to be quoted as fabricating lies.

oh I news article said. so? news articles get things wrong man. It is ****ty to just say Barrera is ducking Pacquiao though. Pac can't fight on ****ing March 25, get real. He couldn't make that fight anyhow, so people need to kill that bull**** that Barrera is ducking Pacquiao, LOL please.

I'm not saying Pacquiao won't beat Barrera again, but MAB certainly isn't trying to avoid him.

MAB isnt ducking Pac, the only reason Chavez signed with Golden Boy is for the MAB fight. He wouldnt have signed with Golden Boy if they didnt promise him the MAB fight. And besides Freddy said it himself Pac was gonna fight a tune up fight in his homeland before he fought any other big fights. Theyre lookin at Kevin Kelley, Tim Austin, and Raheem.

I am still trying to understand how Barrera is ducking Pac. Its not like Barrera won the first fight, and is not giving Pac a rematch. At this point Barrera has not done much to prove that he can beat Pacman.
I sure don't care to see Barrera get beat again in a one sided fight against Pac. If Barrera shows something new in the Chavez fight, then maybe it will spark more interest with the general public.

News articles can go wrong? Well I've said it before and I'll say it again, IF Barrera and his team can just SHUT their mouths then nobody will be jumping on their backs. I'm not saying that it's going to be the same results either, but what makes by blood boil is that they keep issuing statements that goes back to their faces. If they don't want to fight Pacman again then just shut up so they won't be accused of making excuses.

Here's the article posted by a MOD.

                  ----------------------------------------------------------------
                  Barrera Wants Rematch vs Pacquiao!!!

FINALLY breaking his silence, Mexican ring great Marco Antonio Barrera said he’s ready to face Manny Pacquiao in a rematch of their 2003 battle won by the fierce Filipino hero by technical knockout in the 11th round.

But Barrera, now the world’s top super featherweight, qualified that Pacquiao should first win his rematch with Erik “El Terrible” Morales on Jan. 21 in Las Vegas before a rematch can be negotiated.

Eric Gomez, the matchmaker for Barrera’s promotional outfit Golden Boy Promotions, informed the boxing website ********* in an interview yesterday that Barrera’s March 25 showdown with Jesus Chavez forthe latter’s International Boxing Federation lightweight title has been put on hold as Barrera waits for the outcome of next Sunday’s Pacquiao-Morales battle.

“We are waiting to see what happens in the Pacquiao-Morales,” Gomez was quoted as saying. “Barrera told us he will let us know who he will choose to fight.”

Gomez said Barrera is definitely interested

As I said stop making excuses. This has been going on for the last 2 years. It's just ****i'n ****** and foolish to ask Pacquaio to fight him on March after a fight just this week. If that's not a foolish defense mechanism then what is it? Use common sense brother.

And in case you are wondering where the MOD got it, the article says *********.
