    It's just pure common sense.
i hear what ya sayin bro, but do you really think pacman was gonna fight barrera in march??? it was just not gonna happen, he would have to be in training within the next 2 weeks, he deserves a rest after what he done to morales, im sure that fight took a lot out of him too. it would have been too soon, besides theres talk of him fightin in the phillipines for his next fight, barrera wont go over there and barrera aint gonna wait and miss his fight date in march.

barrera and pacman 2 will be made, the fans want it, the money will be 2 good to turn down and im sure mexico will want barrera to try and beat pacman, and im sure before barrera retires he will at least try (i aint sayin he will win) to avenge his defeat. i think that might be barreras last fight before he retires against the pacman. there aint any other challenge out there for him bro. pacmans the man right now and barrera and pacmans paths will meet again, its their destiny will pacman prove it was no fluke or will barrera show that it was really an off night??? we will know by the end of this year or early next year

Pacquaio does not need Barrera, so I am not sure why the Pac fans are so upset. If any fight needs to be made, its the rematch with JMM. Most fans believe that Pac can beat anyone out there, me included. I believe that Barrera needs a tough fight to prove to himself and to the fans that he can beat a pressure fighter , so the Chavez fight is being made. If Barrera wins against Chavez, then Barrera will make me believe he has a chance against Pac in a rematch. Right now Barrera has shown me nothing to prove he can beat a Pac, but that can change with how/if he wins against Chavez. Jesus Chavez is a dangerous fighter, and its a measuring stick on where Barrera is at this point of his career. Eitherway the winner should be in-line to fight Pac. Barrera vs. Pacquiao or Pacquiao vs. Chavez, both would be good action fights.

Even if MAB wanted to fight Pac, Pac's trainer already stated that he needed a break. I anticipate the next MAB fight will be with Pac, if not then people can see he is avoiding.

Ha ha ha....Barrera is a sly hawk really. I think he beats Chavez but it will be a hard fight. Barrera will fight pac again when he feels the time is right. But Barrera is a legend and should be allowed to pursue greater goals like the lightweight title!

Is this PPV? It sure doesn't deserve to be.

This is a good fight. Chavez has a chance to win, but it better be free on HBO. Chavez is big and puts on a LOT of pressure. I expect thos to be a close fight. After this though, MAB better fight Pac.

yeah its gonna be free on HBO, no more rip offs like peden and fana.

apart from making history and winning a 4th title in a different weight class, perhaps the reason why barrera is fighting chavez is so he can see whether he still has what it takes against pressure fighters, this could perhaps be a test for himself before pacman, perhaps he feels chavez does pressure like pacman but dont hit as hard as pacman???

Chavez will be an easier, not easy, fight for Barrera. it is the alure of a forth weight division title that makes this fight acceptable to Barrera's champ. It will make him a greater tool at the bargaining table with titles in two weight divisions.

Pac should start favorite in this fight but i won't write Barrera totally off!
