I give Canelo a slight chance to win. In reality the younger, bigger, stronger guy is supposed to win. He's got enough boxing IQ and speed to pull off the upset. Problem is he's fighting Floyd Mayweather. I can't see him weighing more than Ortiz weighed fight night. Ortiz was lighter on his feet than Canelo is... However, I doubt Canelo will have a total melt down like Ortiz. I looked at highlights of Canelo/Trout recently, and Canelo was loading up on everything. He was bulky and plodding but Trout was there to be hit because he had to be aggressive because of the lopsided open scores. If Canelo has to fight from behind I can't see him fighting 3 minutes of each round once they get in the later rounds. The window of opportunity for Canelo to win is way smaller than it will be for Mayweather. Mayweather is the favorite IMO and it will be a huge upset if Canelo is able to pull this off.

If you can't hit Floyd with the jab then you are not going to hit him at all. Alvarez' best bet in defeating Mayweather is by fighting off the back foot and out jabbing him. However, that requires a lot of cardio conditioning, which he doesn't have.

Moreover, attempting to swarm Mayweather along the ropes and in the corners with fast flurries, could be counter productive as well, because one it uses up a lot of your stamina and two because of the close proximity, he can see all the incoming punches all too well; Thereby, making it very difficult to land solid clean punches against him effectively, especially to the body when he is in that shoulder roll defensive posture.

The best way to catch Floyd is from long range where he has to use his reflexes. That was how Mosley buckled him. If Canelo can make the proper adjustments and time him with a well placed punch, then he can score the upset victory by way of knockout. However, the action must take place in the center of the ring in order for it to be implemented.

Mayweather wont look as fast and sharp when he doesnt have a slow one dimensional fighter as an opponent.

All that cherry picking is going to catch up with him now that he's finally facing a legitimate opponent in his prime. By picking fighters who posed the least threat, he hasn't improved.

If I was a Floyd fan I would be worried.
But seeing as you obviously aren't, you'll still come on and give Mayweather all the credit in the world if he wins. Right?

same reason people show highlights and gifs of floyds win over Marquez.

Can't wait for Floyd to get exposed he's gonna wish he stayed at 147 you're gonna see why he ducked Pac he knows he's overrated. His resume over the last 3 years has been whack as hell, even a shot De La Hoya deserved a draw imo... he doesn't look to impressive at 154 this is a cherry pick gone wrong, I get a sense that Showtime pushed him into this because of the Guerrero numbers.... He's gonna lose his marbels and go beserck and call out Pacquiao
I know people are entitled to their opinion, but how can a fighter be a cherrypick AND a fighter you've been forced to fight by a network? That doesn't even make sense. Make your mind, either Alvarez is a challenge, or he's a cherrypick.

Let's not also forget that father and son tried to avoid Canelo. Floyd wanted Alexander and Senior wanted Khan. They opted for Guerrero when Canelo was available.

Personally, this fight is three times better than a May/Pac fight. LOL. I would be laughing hard at Floyd stans when Canelo whoops his ass. You don't want Pacman, eh? Easy fight, easy/more money.

I think Floyd can stop a very tired Canelo is the later rounds. Floyd will look spectacular in this fight and put on a one-sided beating.
