I think unless Kovalev has some severe stamina issues or an underlying glass jaw I don't know about then he will steam roll Cleverly.

I think Kovalev is somewhat limited but its more down to I just don't rate Cleverly. I don't think he can get Kovalevs respect. I see a lot of flaws and a lot of holes I expect to be taken advantage of. I don't think his footwork is good. I feel he has horrible flaws and whilst a lot rave about him being a good bodypuncher, I don't think so, I see bad technique. Just because a guy throws to the body doesn't mean its good. There is no placement there, the set up is poor. Its just thrown shot with no real thought, placement or technique.

Kovalev is not a basic Euro pressure fighter hes made out to be. Hes a boxer puncher with very good footwork & balance who sets everything up with a jackhammer jab, an aggressive counterpuncher who throws good combinations.

I don't feel Cleverly has the pop and will try use his handspeed/volume to keep Kovalev at bay & its going to be that flicking jab and the volume that gets him in deep.
I just can't see it, the guys not disciplined enough.

You have to be able to take a good shot and give one even if the other guy hits harder. Cleverly was outclassed. He can't take a good shot. Kovalev is a beast. He can fight!

I think some people sleep on Cleverly, but the guy has skills. He is a very sound/sharp boxer with underrated power. Of course his power's not on Kovalev's level, but it doesn't have to be.

Cleverly via SD in a hard fought battle, but he WILL be victorious. Hell, he may even UD him. Trust me.

Side note: Kovalev looks like he may be a HBO fighter now, that'll complicate a Hopkins fight. Fat Dan seems to think he'll go after the Stevenson v Cloud winner.

I've seen Cleverly take decent shots from the guy who made Miranda Kessle. His chin's not awful from what I've seen to this point. Obviously it's not granite, but he can take a shot.
