Thing is, Kovalev has been rated for his power. You can't let a heavy handed guy tag you round after round. You need to box, and hold but that is hard to do as well since the mofo has a high workrate and seems to have decent speed.
I think some people sleep on Cleverly, but the guy has skills. He is a very sound/sharp boxer with underrated power. Of course his power's not on Kovalev's level, but it doesn't have to be.
Cleverly via SD in a hard fought battle, but he WILL be victorious. Hell, he may even UD him. Trust me.
Kovalev knew that Cleverly couldn't punch, and wasn't strong enough to beat him. You got the sense after the first round that Clev was in serious trouble.
