      I would say genaro

it put floyd on the map, showed that he was a prodigy,,

then the corrales fight- showed how good floyd was in a huge fight,, corrales was not his best in that fight, but floyd would beat him on his best day

then the JLC fight,, showed floyd could deal with adversity and not afraid of rematches

then oscar- because it made floyd a huge draw, not his best performance, but he won and gained huge amount of fans..

then hatton- wish this was at 140, but either way, great performance by floyd.. hatton came to win, crowd was behind hatton, and floyd shut him down and iced him

I would say the second Castillio fight.

Best Lightweight of his era, in his prime, and IMO HOF calibur.

In terms of performance it's possibly Corrales considering he was Top 5 P4P.

But Mayweather's beaten a very long list of top ranked opposition and quite a few P4P guys too.

Castillo or Corrales..... which by the way, happened over a decade ago.

Diego Corrales is Floyd's best win, but Shane Mosley and a lot of other people say Corrales had to lose 30 pounds in 2 weeks before the fight, he wasn't healthy, he was drained, so how good is the Corrales win really?

I agree with you on all points..

but it still flabbergasts me that corrales was a top 5-7 p4p guy... Yes at the time he was ko'ing guys left and right,,, but his skills were never that great,,, he was a helluva fighter, but never p4p material for me....

Corrales may be limited but he was effective, especially at that time. He was knocking out everybody.

I can understand why he was P4P. Maybe not as high as #5 but still, he was doing well at the time.
