Didn't the doctor's say something like he had an abnormally thick skull, small brain and low intelligence? Hence the enormous punishment the human punch bag could and did in fact receive. Joe Grim was a grim human creature.

You would have to have a low intelligence to continue fighting with such a bad record as 10-30.

Duran knew how to fight guys, and he was an intelligent fighter too. Duran was actually overshadowed by Ali at his peak, and perhaps he got less true recognition as result. Just my opinion. Ali was tough too, as many point out.
