                  Didn't the doctor's say something like he had an abnormally thick skull, small brain and low intelligence? Hence the enormous punishment the human punch bag could and did in fact receive. Joe Grim was a grim human creature.

                    Possible.

                    Doctors said that Battling Nelsons skull was abnormally thick as well and he used to brag that he had the doctores words for him being unable to feel pain.

                      I have to pick Gatti. Of course he gets favoritism from my pick due to the fact he is my ATF fighter.
                      Marciano was tough as nails. I agree with Battling Nelson as well. A lot of fighters mentioned were just tough guys.
