If anything, Ottke gets severely underrated on this board. Just saying.

Paul Williams hero worshipped Calzaghe and tried to mimic his style. Failed miserably but it was a good try.

Ottke, good enough to just sc**** a title defence or two in a young division before needing a corrupt ref to keep him from losing.

no offensive ability, totally defensive cardio strong, that's all.

He clearly beat Glen Johnson years before Johnson KTFO Jones. So defensive cardio was enough apparently.

That's why it makes me laugh when people say Sir Joseph ducked Johnson. The guy was literally considered a journeyman who was one of the few foreign fighters who had a legitimate loss to Sven Ottke

yet he did duck the fight repeatedly, remember this was at a time when Joe was a nobody with the wborthless title and only one good opponent on his titleside resume.

Joe was prone to attempting to duck whenever he thought he was outmatched, so its actually very likely to be true, and not laughable at all.

then its one of his few real defences.

Johnson was a journeyman, there was no reason to duck him. Johnson was supposed to fight Calzaghe in 1998 or something but Johnson got knocked down and lost to Omar Sheika
