I don't think Vitali reached his prime at the time of the fight and he definitely sent Lennox into retirement.

I thought the lewis loss made vitali a better fighter. he looked much better in subsequent fights against johnson,,sanders and williams. he hadnt faced anyone even near lewis's caliber before they fought and he was still kinda green although he was 32 yrs old

I fully agree with this. He fought much smarter after Lennox fight. Shame he didn't face many good fighters after it.

He didn't look bad in Lennox fight at all.

He proved he can stand his own against anyone. Lennox was past prime, but still good.
