Was Lennox Lewis in his PRIME when he stopped Vitali Klitschko?

Some Vitali fans claim Lennox was in the full prime of his career and his 257 pounds made him stronger. Was he in his prime?

Lol how can you be prime when coming in overweight, having considered to retire for a couple of years and be 37 years old having fought at world level for 13 years.

He was nowhere near his prime. But still good enough to lay it on Vitali.

No. Anyone who claims he was is ****** and anyone who calls him a coward for not re-matching Vitali are also ******.
Lennox was old, fat and rusty. His usual fluent, beautifully thrown, amazingly well timed shots were looking horrible in this fight. His punch technique was completely off and he was the least sharp he has ever been in a professional fight.
Lennox is an intelligent enough man to know (once the fight was over) that he no longer had it. He knew that boxing is a young mans game and he was now over the hill. There is no shame in realizing you don't have it anymore and hanging them up. It would serve no justice to Lennox or his fans if he went in the ring again knowing he was shot.
Also Lennox deserves huge credit for taking this fight and giving Vitali hell. Lennox at this point already had one of the best legacies in HW championship boxing history. This was a huge risk/low reward fight. He could have retired a year earlier but instead he decided to take on a monster of a man in Vitali. Lennox, a past prime ATG/HOF fighter gave hell to a prime, HOF fighter. That deserves huge credit, not criticism.

VitaliKlitschKO_is_the_Greatest!!!: Yes, Lennox Lewis in his prime. Vitali was dominating prime Lewis and he was going to KO Lewis.

Vitali is the best of all times. He beats Ali, Louis, Foreman by knockout on same night.

Of course Lennox was in his prime. He came in overweight and undertrained: all the hallmarks of a fighter in his PRIME

Yes, he was at the end stage of his prime. HW boxers bloom in their 30's.His heart and mind just weren't in it anymore and family stopped him from a very lucrative rematch. He is # 3 ATG at HW and the Vitali fight is worth watching for the 108th time again !!!!! PURE WAR !!!

Nobody in their right mind thinks he was in his prime. But he wasn't "shot" either like some claim.

I applaud him, Lewis, for an outstanding career, like I said 3rd best HW ever. He did not have his heart in the ring anymore and walked away a proud champion rather than fight the rematch vs a young bull who was close to beating him. Lewis' prime was 1999-2003 BTW. He was less than 2.5 years removed from Rahman I and II fights and the Tyson fight. It is from 1999-2003 that he went from an excellent HW to an ATG,look it up. Respect 2 ATG top 10 HW, watch the fight again and again, appreciate, and wonder what the rematch would have held ??? Lewis was in his prime, he just thought that he was fighting Curt Johnson up until 2.5-3 weeks prior to fight.****, both he and Vitali could have drank together then whooped Curt Johnson.
