Was Lennox Lewis in his PRIME when he stopped Vitali Klitschko?

Because the point was immediately shot down and laughed at. He just wanted to prove a point to the guy who made it.
So I agree. It is in fact, redundant.Comment

Yet by posting into it, you're bumping the thread to prominence for others to add to it.

People who want to minimize Vitali Klitschko always look to call Lennox fat.
What was he like 6-7 lbs heavier than he was for the Tyson fight?
The weight of a 250 lb man can fluctuate 7 lbs from morning to night depending on what he eats and whether or not he took a healthy ****.
Acting like Lennox was grotesquely overweight is a prime tactic of Klitschko haters - along with their other tactic of calling Corrie Sanders a fat golfer.Comment

Also you just don't get it do you?
7-10 Pounds for someone like Chris Arreloa is nothing.. Guys like Lewis and Wlad started out at 230... they only bulked up to 245 because of Manny Steward.
If Wladimir Klitschko came into the Povetkin fight at 257 Pounds.. won't you say he's had a bad camp? Lewis and Wlad both need to be under 250 to be most effective. They don't carry the extra weight well at all.
Also Lennox CLEARLY was not carrying the weight well.. dude got a fat belly for God's Sake... he even left his robe on because he was embarassed of his own fat azz.Comment

My friend, you are making the same mistake most klit fans make when analyzing this fight and that is assuming the second half of the fight would have played out exactly as the first half did. I agree, if Vit had never been cut and the WHOLE rest of the fight played out the same then Vitali would have won. The reality, however, and I heard Steve Bunce mention that this was the opinion of most of the media ringside during the fight, is that Lennox had started to take control of the fight. Lennox had switched up his tactics after the first couple rounds, knowing he was on the backfoot, and he was becoming effective and was starting to win rounds and take control. Enough to cut Vit's face to ribbons. If Vitali was going to have finished this fight by KO, he would have done it before the stoppage. He never had a better chance than the first couple of rounds, and he couldn't do it, even though he was going for it. After round 3 he was on the slide and he wouldn't have got that KO even if it went the full 12.Comment

You obviously dont get it because by bringing up Wladimir you make my point for me.So was Lennox Lewis prime?

Wlad was in good shape for the Haye fight at 242. Ballooned up to 249 for the Thompson fight -
Same exact 7 lb weight gain that Lewis showed from Tyson to Vitali.
Did anyone call Wladimir fat? Or say he let go? Or didn't train properly?
The myth that Lewis was horribly out of shape is nothing but the remnants of Lennox's world class excuse making when it came to ducking the rematch.Comment

Corrie Sanders was absolutely an out-of-shape golfer in the fight vs. Vitali. And he gave him trouble for a few rounds.People who want to minimize Vitali Klitschko always look to call Lennox fat.

whereas being 38 was the stone cold truth that he wanted to retire since 99% of HW champions had got out of the ring by that age (tax office permitting).Comment
