Is it that Maidana doesn't have good power or that Khan did a good job at surviving? Come on man, seriously.

I have a feeling Broner could take a good shot if he would only close his mouth while fighting.

He faced a couple, although not big punchers, were fairly decent, and didn't seem fazed. I am not saying he could take Matthysse type of power, but I would lean to say he at least has a decent chin instead of untested.

If he does run into a downfall, it will be because he lets fighters open up on him too much when he is in his shell. He really needs to start countering more, to break up and Disrupt his opponents offense, especially since he is going to be facing larger opponents on the regular now.

I personally hope he does tighten up his game, because he does have many of the tools that are required to be a special fighter. He just needs to tighten some things up and take the sport more seriously, or he will run into a wall when his Opponents Class Improves.

I didn't say he didn't have power. I said his power is overrated. He def has power but people act like he would run through Broner because of his power. Like I said before, if Maidana didn't have his flaws with his body then I would pick Maidana but Maidana doesn't have that massive amount of power to make up for it. Lopez hurt Maidana with a body shot and Maidana admitted that he was hurt really bad from it. Lopez doesn't even hit that hard at all. It was getting to a point where it looked like he was about to stop Maidana... That is the point I am making. I honestly believe Thurman would TKO Maidana easily. He would have his issues with Broner but I also believe he would run through Broner as well.

His power is not overrated. And who cares if he's soft to the body, his heart make up for it. Did Lopez win? Did Khan stop him? What makes you think Broner is a hard hitter at 147? Khan stopped Paulie, Broner didn't.

The Paulie fight was a great learning experience because he dealt with a pure boxer who was just as strong as him physically. Broner had more power and more tools which is why he beat clearly beat Paulie. I think the kid should stay at ww and give up the Armstrong holding two belts simultaneously dream lol.

Did you not read what I said? If a guy like Lopez can come close to dropping Maidana with body shots what does that tell you? Alexander was about to stop Maidana due to body shots... What does that tell you? Maidana has power but it doesn't make up for his flaws. Also, when did I say Broner was a hard hitter at 147? I said Maidana FLAWS will be his downfall because HE CAN'T TAKE BODY SHOTS. Broner is a better fighter then Lopez and I can go as far to say he has more power then Lopez. That doesn't say much vs other opponents but in Maidana's case then it spells doom for him.

Maidana is one of the hardest punchers in the sport, he just hasn't had good technique to get the most out of that power. He's improved lately, but we'll see how that translates against better competition.
