Been saying for a long time that Broner is over hyped. He is in the same boat as Canelo. The only problem with Broner is that he is hated by the masses for those ****** antics he loves to pull. If he stays at 147 I expect him to beat Maidana but guys like Thurman would run through Broner easily.

Yes I do. When you sit in the middle of the ring with no foot movement at all and lack of power needed vs a guy like Thurman you will be KO'D. Broner likes to sit in the pocket and pick off his opponents and he will most likely be KO'D trying to do that vs Thurman. He can get away with it from Maidana because Maidana's power isn't all that great and on top of that he cannot take body shots at all. Broner will most likely fold Maidana due to body shots. Broner gets hit alot and Thurman will def hurt Broner and most likely TKO him.

He couldn't even take out Amir Khan. Yes he has power but lets not overrate it. His biggest flaw is that he has a weak midsection. If it wasn't for that then I would pick Maidana to beat Broner.

Why do so many people sweat Thurman? Strong and aggressive he is..but his defense is practically non existent and he often leaves himself off balance when he punches.

He is a rugged puncher right now that has beaten any technicians--or close to it.

He MIGHT blast thru Broner because Broner is unproven at the weight, not because Thurman is great.

What fight did Broner show bad footwork in since he's been champion?

Maidana might be able to beat Thurman. I don't see either guy giving Broner trouble. This bad footwork myth is something that you guys either can't tell, or you're trying to stick with what someone else said because I don't see bad footwork at all. Broner is not a runner. He knows when to move out of range, and when to stay in the pocket.

If I had any criticisms of Broner it would be that he needs to lop his punches at times, and that he follows guys around at times.

When I say loop, that means that he has to have a better flair for throwing punches. Everything can't be straight all of the time, and waiting to punch straight can get you caught when you're trying to spot a place to land a punch. straight punches land with more power, but a good boxer will dodge those shots.

Following guys: Learning to get back to center ring is easy, so he has to work on that. Broner does not get hit a lot. Fighters make a choice when it comes to getting hit by certain fighters. Fans automatically say, "Oh, so you're saying that he wanted t get hit"? No, but more chances are taken and if it that fighter takes two to land one hard shot, that doesn't mean that he has no defense. It means that he thinks the guy can't hurt him. The pressure and harder shots usually prevail.

Rees had fast hands, some speed and he was short, and got a few shots in-he's a fighter. He never came close to hurting Broner, and Broner walked through him like he was supposed to do with a guy like Rees who wasn't a mover. Same with Paulie. Fans always want their favorite fighters to come out without a mark on their face, and win by knockout. Against good fighters that won't happen. Broner never has any marks or visible bruises, but even if he did, it's still a fight.
